This is a tough one for me. Not for the faint of heart or unadventurous. Took me a few days to get through the bottle, not because it is a bad wine but because it is so intense it takes a while to make it through your glass. Apricot, extreme tannins, citrus, and VA. I don’t hate it, but if I ever buy again I’ll be splitting the bottle between 3-4 other people.

yum ! very nice orange color. nose was riiipe juicy peach with understones of pickled veg/fruit. mostly smelled sweet and fruity. floral, tangerine, peach and subtle funk on the pallet. dry with nice acid. great texture and a semi-strong tannin after touching some oxygen. loved it. shared with someone who's a beer lover and she said it reminded her of some fruity IPAs! $27

So good. Sucks the moisture right out of my mouth.

Citrus orange wine, full of tropical flavor. An enjoyable orange wine choice.

Funkiest orange I’ve had. Super cloudy. Pickled fruits on the nose. Almost a hoppy-ness to it on the palette and finishes with strong chalky tannins.

Vej is not subtle about its affiliation with Orange. This sees a full 90 days of skin contact and reminds me of an equally polarizing wine - Ageno from La Stoppa. I believe they are both made from the same unique grape (unique from Malvasia at that).

If you like orange, if you like juicy hazy IPAs, if you like huge tannin, you’ll love Vej. Beautiful copper gold. Aromas of yeasty peach skin and spiced apricot. Bitter grapefruit and biscuit.
