A great bargain at this price!!!! Highly rated by Wine Spectator! Deep ruby with aromas of dark cherry, stewed fruits, forest floor. Rich and Lucious on the blood with a long finish. Very old white wine. Golden hue. Smells a bit like golden delicious apples, Bartlett pear, honey and sweetened lemon. Flavors are hint oxidized, but still tart and bright. Plenty of citrus. Lots of tannin. This is adventurous and delicious white. Wonder what it was like closer to 2014. At this stage it’s a bit like my favorite kind of Chardonnay. Ex Alba Bianco Macerato 2019

With Podere Pradarolo, it’s all extreme. Extremely long macerations for all the whites and Rose’s. Ex Alba sees 45 days on its Trebbiano skins then heads to the barrels. This is less than a fourth the time Vej sees on skins by the way.

I prefer Ex Alba. It’s less hops and more florals. Spiced citrus bitter peppery apple cider vinegar tea.
