4 years after trying this vintage the first time and calling it Nirvana-esque. I rescind. Didn’t live up to the expectations. Less Nirvana and more Skin Yard. It’s a decent nebbiolo, but if you’re gonna call it a Barolo, it lacks. — 8 months ago

Venetian Merlot with fresh crush and partially dried grapes. Aged in barriques.. Plum, cinnamon and pepper on the nose. Tight on opening. After about an hour very earthy old world style on the palate - slightly dense. Dark fruit, prune, cinnamon, leather, damp soil. Oak is prominent and finish was long and refreshing. Not a casual dinner wine - probably best with a hearty stew or fatty roast. — 2 years ago

Way too many options to tag this wine.
This needed a day to open up. Delicate and soft Sangiovese with refined structure. My preference over the Pieve Santa Restituta.
