A great vineyard site in Rutherford. The 1997 is tiring a bit and/or this bottle had been stored poorly. Still, plenty of things to like … pretty rose-petal and dried herb notes, melted tannins, complex cedar-cherry mocha finish. I love these older Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon wines. — 6 months ago

Tasted their Holbrook Mitchell Vineyard Yountville 2017 Cab today and it was tight as nails. Been a looong time since I’ve had a cab that tightly wound. Serious promise and potentially a fantastic deal but needs at least 5 years (but likely a decade) to be considered “approachable” by most.
