Oldschool Classic at it’s best!
Surprisingly fresh in the nose with black currant leaf, a pleasant greenness, pencil shavings and a plethora of tertiary aromas.
On the palate this is rather light bodied with still quite youthful grippy tannins, juicy acidity and great length.
This is poised, has presence and really good length.

Strawberry compote with some spice. I think this will be much better with some age to settle it's youthful exuberance — 6 years ago
2012, Clos des Vignes du Maynes,,, Macon Cruzille, Manganite, Gamay. Tart red fruit, spice, acid and a slight amount of CO2. Clean and refreshing expression of Gamay. Good wine from one of my favorite producers. — 8 years ago
Bright clean nose with hints of pineapples. Really great wine — 8 years ago
Started out so cherry delicious but suddenly fell apart ...have to give it another try because it was so lovely first out of the bottle. Lou's Wine winter 2015 — 9 years ago
2012, Clos Des Vignes Du Maynes, Cuvée 910, Macon-Cruzille, field blend of Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Very light with fresh red fruit balanced by spice and herbal undertones. This is one of my favorites, good as an apertif and pairs well with a variety of dishes. — 10 years ago
An utterly outrageous wine.
Nose is mildly tropical.
Palate is elegantly rich. Hint of nectarine. But I’m just approximating. It’s really just this utterly yummy indescribable fruit. A kiss of chalk. Nicely mineral. Fresh.

A beautiful under the radar Bordeaux, fresh, silky, completely quaffable but still serious enough — 8 years ago
Great at the movies. Cheesy and nutty! Even more interesting as it warmed up. — 8 years ago
Great stuff. Definitely needs air. Like chili, it's even better on day 2 — 9 years ago

Even this early it’s ridiculously good. Medium aromatics, brilliant concentration, deep, pure, sappy fruit. 🥰 — 2 years ago
