This is in an interesting place. It’s still very fresh with lemon and fresh grass/hay, but more brioche and ripe apples than I usually expect. Lemon curd and stones, maybe some nectarine in there. Good amount of creaminess and heading towards baked pear/apple territory. Fascinating. Not as good as the donkey and goat chard I recently had, but this reminds me of Chablis meets champagne blanc de blanc. — 3 months ago

1996 vintage. Last tasted 5.8.25 (9.5), 9.29.24 (9.5) and 8.2.24 (9.6). Decanted with some sed and tasted after an hour. Solid cork and fill. This was the worst showing of the last visits with less tannic structure and slightly more richness. Tasted a bit more like their "Au Paradis" offering. Not totally dissuaded from picking up another few bottles for enjoyment in the few 5 years or so tho. Three out of four bottles surveyed were fabulous and this wasn't a total swing and a miss. 07.18.25. — 5 months ago

Beautiful Zin all around. I find it a bit earthy but absolutely stunning. Wow, when I think “Zin” this is the taste, and I got it on sale for only $35! It’s pairing perfectly with my spicy Chinese food dinner. I’m imagining about 10 other dishes this will pair wonderfully with as well. — 4 years ago

Nose is faint, fully resolving into the body. Body is soft and supple but wonderful experience on the palate with medium finish. Great wine. Tannins are still there, but holding the body with gossamer gloves. — 2 months ago

This and the rose are my favorites from Michael David. Huge wine. Explosion of fruit on the nose. Not a lot of oak/wood which is great. Smooth and drinkable. This is a great bbq wine that at or just bellow cellar temp is even better. I’d buy again — 3 months ago

A blend of 90% Sauv Blanc and 10% Semillon. Pale yellow color with aromas of citrus, floral, wet stone and tropical fruit. On the palate rich fruits of mango and peach flavors with citrus zest and earthy mineral notes on a balanced structure with lively fresh acidity. Long finish, pleasant ending with pronounced mineral character. Leave this in the cellar for a few years. Nice. Tasting Sample. — 2 years ago
