Montilla-Moriles Pedro Ximénez 2017

Went out on a limb and picked up a small bottle of sherry. Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Sweet honey, raisin, a hint of vanilla, cedar and so smooth. — 8 days ago

Excellent dessert wine. Cool and crisp, very fruity but without a strong aftertaste. — a month ago

Pago El Espino Málaga Red Blend 2019

Ripe dark fruits, bit of fragrance, balanced tannin forward chased by a slight sourness on the back of tung but quickly mellows out. Approachable wine — a month ago

Tio Pepe Fino Muy Seco Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Palomino Fino

2022/10. Despite being available for prices that get you not a whole lot else on supermarket shelves, this is reliably good - not super deep, but refreshing, balancing salt and fruit. — a month ago

Don PX Montilla-Moriles Pedro Ximénez 1990

Speaking of sweet…the thing with PX is that it is not to be sipped alone. In my opinion. But pair it with something like vanilla ice cream or as I did lately a Three Musketeers. It has weight without being overbearing. Raisins, figs, a whiff of salt and maybe iodine…plus roasted pecans and toffee. Super complex which works with how rich it is. — a month ago
