Full-bodied Pinot with a perfect balance of spice and fruit. One of my favorite wines this year, in this price point. — 6 years ago

Had w steak. Accessible, good bit/tannins but not over the top, some blue berry undertones.
Likely buy again
,"reds joust spectacularly with the kinds of dishes you think about when there is a cool spring evening that might call for a fire pit— steaks, grilled vegetables, burgers—but the perfect pairing is a rich, slow-cooked Daube de Boeuf, the classic red wine–beef stew of the region." — 3 years ago
Flinty and complex. — 5 years ago
Smells bright and fruity with a bit of floral. Taste is tart but with nice flavors, maybe apricot? Complex and good alone — 6 years ago
The epitome of Grand Cru. I’m transported to year 2007 in Burgundy through smell and taste. I can almost see the Vintners as they work as if I’m an observing time traveler. — 8 years ago

Not a bad bottle for #burgundythursday slight hint of black cherry, soy, spices (almost corning spices), meat, leather, chalky dust, barnyard, tannins still fairly noticeable with some resolution and integration still to come. Another decade won't hurt this. — 9 years ago
Finally got myself a bottle of one of the rarest wines I import. Only got an allocation in 18 for the first time. Anyway this is an insane bottle of Chablis. It’s basically Fabien’s Grand Cru. Nose is spicy and mineral. Sea water, hint of discreet wood. So salty. Nose is so classic and the most ethereal of the Dauvissat wines. Wow, the palate is so intense and explosive. Awesome minerality and electricity. Juicy and so pure. Backwards and will need air. So much sap and dry extract. Lime echo on the finish. So so long. Awesome power, majesty and density. What grip. What an intense wine. The length is crazy. — 5 years ago
Nose of plums, forest floor with fresh fallen flower petals. Taste is of plums, black tea, Forest, raspberry, mushroom. I really like this. Opened up after an hour of pulling cork and really excellent after 2+. — 7 years ago
Minerality, river rocks, salinity, apricot, orchard fruit, grape fruit. Some spice on the palette, nutmeg perhaps. Peach in the finish. High acid, lighter medium body. Beautifully well-balanced and delightful. — 8 years ago

Dirty mid Ruby in colour - tawny highlights On the nose red fruits (strawberries) with a touch of barnyard. A light to medium weight palate showing red fruits and sweet spice, but essentially a simple uncomplicated wine despite the fact that it cost $180 AUD. This is where good new World Pinots supercede Burgundies like this. The next night a better showing but no great complexity. — 8 months ago
