A bit bigger with more ripe strawberry jam taste than other gamay. But as it opens up, floral and mineral notes come in to balance. Nose is wonderful and earthy. I really enjoyed this. — 7 years ago
Stored a few bottles, but had to pop one of the current release. Deep ruby in color. Dark fruits and spice on the nose. Not as tannin heavy as I expected. BlackBerry, clove, baking spices on the palate. Super black jam on the finish. Recently drank the 12 vintage, needs a couple years to mature for complexity. — 8 years ago
Cherry, berry nose. Blueberry & blackberry jam taste. Slight sweet. Long tannin fruit finish. Needs a few hours to breathe, slight alcohol burn even after many hours. — 9 years ago
Fruit forward...notes of black cherry jam, red currant and a touch of earth — 9 years ago
Inky color. Blueberry, leather nose. Dark jam fruit, tannic mid palate, blackberry compote finish. Nice Napa Cab. #riversmarie — 9 years ago
Color of dark ruby-purple, with a nose of blackberry jam, vanilla, and sawdust. Full-bodied with amazing balance. Nice smooth finish. Tannins are there, and grippy. This is a really nice wine. With the tannin structure and fruit in place, I could see this aging for years to come. — 7 years ago
Super wet and fruit forward, jammy, boysenberry, smells of hibiscus and cinnamon ginger cookies (slightly), slight sweet tobacco, lots of body and subtle jam, not too structured, fair intricate with the jam highlight, nice sort of see through color — 8 years ago
Very nice wet subtle, less jam than other ridge zin blends, rich red color, the layering is really great, rustic, super balanced, just jam with all types of berries mostly raspberry and strawberry — 8 years ago
Floral, Honeysuckle, grassy hay note, fruit forest, spicy, balanced sweet and acidic, would be great with curry or spicy savoury Mexican style, — 9 years ago
Had the petit the other night, so I was of course tempted to get the main show. 2003 was the oldest I had available so I went for it, and let me tell you.. if you have any in your cellar, I think they'll see another 5-10 years, but baby, the acid is perfect and the flavors are almost fully mature. A lovely intoxication of apricot jam, honey/molasses, decayed hydrangeas, and slight nuttiness on the nose. The pallet was lush and velvety, exhibiting notes of honey, orange blossom, dried apricots, dried pineapples, nutmeg, vanilla, and a bright, but not quite zippy finish. I need more of this..it was spectacular. — 9 years ago

Pleasant floral aroma, tastes like tannic berry jam. I love the label art! — 9 years ago
Just can't get enough of this bottle, best QPR in Champagne, for my palate!
Prior notes apply; Nose is toasty brioche and a minerally quince jam. Ultra clean, creamy palate reflecting the same notes.
I love this wine! Thank you @Lyle Fass — 7 years ago

Earthy blackberry & strawberry jam. Delicious. — 8 years ago
Last wine for our wine pairing at Chef's Table this evening, paired with a prime beef tenderloin with morel mushrooms and a smoked garlic-potato puree.
Deep purplish ruby red. Layered nose with boysenberry jam, tons of spices, cinnamon and violets. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Lacks a little oomph in the mid palate. Notes of blackberries, blackberries, vanilla and caramel. Long finish. Drink till 2026. — 9 years ago
Gorgeous aromas of black currant, blackberry jam, spice and baked/stewed dark fruit. Full bodied, luscious and a medium+ finish. The 15.5% alcohol is barely noticeable. — 9 years ago
This is a solid wine...the kind I would want to always have on hand for when friends come over and we are looking for a casual yet delicious selection. Nice leather, spice, black soil, and dark fruits on the nose. On the palate there is blackberry cobbler, blackberry jam, plums, and baking spices. — 9 years ago

2009 and aged to perfection. Jam, fig, plum and a dark barrel finish. From the first year we joined their club. Christmas tradition starts here! — 9 years ago
