Laser acidity, but with a lot of depth. Grapefruit, lime, hints of tropical fruit that allude to a sweetness that is totally not there at all. Great length, too. — 6 years ago

Perhaps the best example of resiling I have ever had the opportunity to sample.
Dry, but lots of honey on the finish. Pear up front. One of my favorite whites — 2 years ago

Light golden color with a tinge of green. Beautifully perfumed with aromas of apricots and honey with a dash of pears. Chamomile and lilacs with green apples and slate. Riesling has never truly been my jam in my past but this is a really nice example of what the grape can be. Sharp acidity and nice purity of fruit.
Off dry with just the right amount of sweetness here, this has terrific balance throughout. Smooth and elegant, with a nice level of refinement. The palate features Meyer lemons, melons, and crisp citrus fruits. Slate, minerality, and a bit of spice. Light and decidedly fresh, these Hofgut Falkenstein wines are indeed the real deal. — 3 years ago

Always love these reds by HF. Whites are truly lightning rods but the reds are just as nuanced with laser beam acids. Always feel guilty about drinking these wines because HF, which I believe initially started in 1989 have no back vintages. I would love to find some older HF wines though — 6 years ago
