Great German Wine from Markus Schneider in Ellerstadt - Pfalz. Really love this wine - his entry level Red — 13 years ago
If I’ve found a sweet spot it’s definitely value Kabinett Riesling - $15-$25. Show me another white grape this consistent and with complexity in this price range. Much thanks is owed to Terry Thiese and the Skurnick team for making wines available from producers like Jakob Schneider, Carl Loewen, Muelenhoff, Selbach-Oster, and Muller-Catoir. Each have a modestly priced Kabinett showing plenty of acid and explosive smokey citrus fruit. This week’s was Jakob Schneider - just off dry with flinty, flowery, ginger notes. Great for pre-dinner snacking. — 8 years ago

Finally coming of its shell. As many 13's are in a great place now this continues with that theme. Superb nose. Intensely mineral, white pepper, rainer cherries. Lemon candy drops after some air. Palate is deep, mineral and very concentrated with citrus whiplash on the finish after an opulent attack and mid palate. Terrific unexpected contrast. Really elegant after some air. So complete. Puts so many GG's to shame. Sappy and mineral finish with terrific length. I adore these wines. Such values and he is still overlooked in the Nahe by the big boys. Not for long. — 9 years ago
#catsandbeer? one of the best beverages i could come up with for the winter solstice. bring on the night — 10 years ago
wide open nose. Volcanic rocks. Opulent texture but great mineral finish. Salty, tangy, ripe and rich. Very pure. Elegant and dissipating finish. Long and excellent intensity. Almost tannic aid what a fucking acid spine. 9.3 — 10 years ago

Floral honey crisp apple sweet smooth. A very nice reisling — 8 years ago
Wow. Great wine. Very distinctive. Definitely nahe but very particular and wonderful. The aromatics assault the nose with minerals and acid. The palate has moderate nahe tropical fruit. Not too tropical which I liked. A bit blast of minerals and acid. Remarkably fresh. Bought from Fass Selections. — 9 years ago
