I got upload before done so here's my review: a very nice cab. Probably one of the best I've had from Australia. Notes of pepper and plumb and chocolate. Very well balanced. Great finish. Don't let the screw top fool you, this is a quality vintage of this wine. — 4 years ago
A pretty ruby in color.
Strong nose of blueberries, black cherries, strawberries, light oak, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, maple, light vegetables and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with plums, pomegranates, cherries, blackberries, wood, spices, tobacco, chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy strawberries.
This is probably my first time having Barbera from Lodi, California. Well balanced and interesting with a nice mouthfeel.
I could definitely smell and taste Lodi, but I won't be able to get the Barbera at a blind tasting. Feels like a lighter Zinfandel from Lodi, with more acidity then expected. Definitely has nice acidity for a Lodi red.
Alcohol is high, but not too noticeable. Good by itself or with food. Good for parties too.
Needs an hour to open up properly.
Nice and engaging and easy drinking and a good everyday wine. I paired it with fatty cheeses, almonds and dry fruits.
Mainly Barbera grapes, with a touch of Petite Sirah, were handpicked and aged in French and American oak barrels for 20 months (24% new).
15% alcohol by volume.

It is a Handpicked reserve Merlot from Colchagua Valley. Not as sweet as other Merlot, has a nice bitterer taste, quite memorable. — 6 years ago
Absolutely amazing. Rich chocolate, coffee and mulberry flavours with light tannnin. IN LOVE. — 7 years ago
Pronounced minerality and fresh cherry fruit finishing with grainy savoury tannins. From the relatively new viticultural area of Orange, this is an excellent example of cool climate Shiraz. Reminds me of the Chalkers Crossing (reviewed elsewhere on Delectable) which won 8 Trophies and grown in nearby Hilltops near Young. We gave this a Gold Medal at the The Toowoomba Wine Show in August 2017 and deservedly so I believe. — 8 years ago

Oakwild Ranch Winery Mendocino Ridge Jacqueline Field Blend 2014, California
Deep purple in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of black plums, cooked cherries, strawberries, light oak, pencil shavings, light alcohol, dark coffee, spices and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with black cherries, strawberries, red currants, pomegranates, oak, tobacco, earth, light vegetables, herbs, spices, light cola, peppercorn, leather and dark chocolates.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is a tasty and easy drinking red blend from Mendocino County in California. Nice, spicy and engaging with a nice mouthfeel.
This 6 year old is drinking very nicely now all by itself. Tangy and interesting.
This Single Vineyard is good right out of the bottle and better after 30 minutes of airtime. After 2 hours, it really hits home, when some earth notes come in and bring more complexity, so be patient.
At this point, the high alcohol is not very noticeable.
I had it blind ( I knew it is from California) and called a Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel blend. Pretty happy with that. Although there is a bigger portion of Syrah in this blend, it definitely feels like the Merlot is taking over.
A blend of 42% Merlot, 12% Zinfandel and 46% Syrah. A very small production of only 92 cases. Handpicked.
15% alcohol by volume.

Produced from juice of naturally frozen grapes, handpicked at night in the middle of the cold Canadian winter at about 15ºF. Grapes pressed when frozen yielding a drop of concentrated flavor. Medium amber color with pronounced aromas of ripe and dried stone fruits. On the palate flavors of peach, dried apricots and honey marmalade. Full-bodied, high acidity, long glorious finish ending with sweet candied fruit. Outstanding. Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago

#kosherwineSunday.
Deep purple in color with a short purple rim. Very intense color.
Strong nose of black currants, sweet plums, cedar, cooked cherries, raisins, dried figs, vanilla, cloves, licorice, spices and peppercorn. Really enjoyed the nose.
Full-bodied and intense, with medium plus acidity and long fat legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with cooked cherries, black plums, dried fruits, oak, vanilla, licorice, alcohol, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee and peppercorn.
Spicy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a big and bold Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Israel.
Rich and extracted. Spicy with a nice mouthfeel. Not for the faint of hearts, but I found it very tasty.
Still young and would be better in a few years.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 3 hours in the decanter. Much better with some air, so be patient.
Feels very much like a California Petite Sirah. Interesting stuff.
I had it all by itself by the pool.
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc and 17% Malbec. Grapes were handpicked. Aged in French oak barrels for 15 months. Unfiltered. Kosher and Mevushal.
15% alcohol by volume.

Inget kattkiss, detta. En slev från godisbutiken men kanske något ungt. Småpartierna. Handpicked wines. Godare dagen efter! — 5 years ago
Dense Ruby in colour. All the classic Cabernet descriptors - Blackberry cassis, black olive and of course Mint - textbook Coonawarra Cabernet. On the palate such purity - ground cocoa, call it dark chocolate, berry fruits, touch of cedar. This wine at 10 years of age, whilst only young, and will live at least another decade, is drinking beautifully now. Made by the talented Sue Bell who was the Dux of the 2007 Len Evans Tutorial ( a handpicked group of only 12 - outstanding winemakers, somms and other full time wine professionals. Aubert de Villaine every year generously donates a mixed dozen of DRC, such was his friendship with Len Evans and James Halliday). Needless to say Sue Bell has one of the best palates in the country. A few years ago she was a guest Judge at the Toowoomba Wine Show where I often judge. I was in awe of her knowledge and her palate. On the strength of this wine I will order her 2015 Cabernet. — 5 years ago
No second bottle could be select in bar. But this sparkling white was really high cp even have been after the expiration date two years.
Honey sweet... — 6 years ago
Deep, rich, and sumptuous wine that holds all the best characteristics of a cab and merlot—blackberries and distinct bay leaf herb. Quite lovely. — 6 years ago
Just an incredible expression of natural wine. Handpicked, destemmed, old vine zweigelt and cab franc (50-50). Lightly pressed, no racking, no filtering and no sulphur added. Initial brettyness blows off in 1-2 minutes what folllows is waves of ethereal dried cherry, raspberry, Szechuan peppercorn, roasted pepper and beetroot. The pallet is reminiscent of pomegranate, cherry and humid earth. Otherworldly balance between the acid and tannins lead you gently into a finish that lingers long enough to make you smirk. Delicious and heady, but not heady enough to remove you from the pleasure of drinking it. — 7 years ago
Distinct connawara profile with peppery spice, voilet. Balance and good level of savoury and mineral. Quite smooth — 8 years ago
