Drank 12/30/19. Decent with a pork and red wine ragu.

Had this 2006 Magnum. Seemed like a nice opportunity to try the Coravin.

Nose initially showed notes of wild flowers and library book. The book notes blew off after around 30 min to show some red cherry. Flavors of red cherry and some spice notes. Medium tannins are well integrated at this stage. Medium finish. I dont see this improving at this stage, and may have already begun to decline in 750. I would drink now, but I will revisit via coravin in a few months.

Alta Langa Spumante Metodo Classico 2015

Very dry, zero dosage. This was very good and could certainly stand up to fine Champagne, but i think this needs more time in bottle to show its full potential. — 5 years ago

After our experiment with Giribaldi, the Sommelier recommend this one and . . . Pretty darn good! Cherry, with slight strawberry hint and I’m calling a bit of tar on the nose. Definitely fruit forward and getting better as the night wears on. — 5 years ago
