Easy going and adorable. Kind of one-dimensional though… — 4 years ago
Good everyday red. Nice acidity. Not as full as you’d expert from 14%, which I appreciated. — 6 years ago
Drank 12/30/19. Decent with a pork and red wine ragu.
Had this 2006 Magnum. Seemed like a nice opportunity to try the Coravin.
Nose initially showed notes of wild flowers and library book. The book notes blew off after around 30 min to show some red cherry. Flavors of red cherry and some spice notes. Medium tannins are well integrated at this stage. Medium finish. I dont see this improving at this stage, and may have already begun to decline in 750. I would drink now, but I will revisit via coravin in a few months.

Thinking a 1991 Barbara d'Alba would be totally gone by Feb 2017. Thiis was still fruity and drinking nicely. Pleasant. — 9 years ago
2013 and so approachable, but doesn't feel like modern neb. Slight florals in the mix with fennel, old leather, hint of nuts, dark cherry and dried red fruits. Could give more points for value. — 10 years ago
This is a great little #dolcetto. Pungent earth on the nose that blows off. Blue flowers, brambley boysenberry, dark cherry, chocolate deep into the nose.
Almost opaque in color. Very dark reds. Great density with solid color throughout to the outer rim.
The palate has fragrance again of blue flowers on the finish. The attack is a great balance of blueberries, integrated tannin and austerity. Tannin and acid play well together for a great texture. Opened 10/21/15 $12ish — 11 years ago

Love this wine! Lots of cherry on the nose, hints of wood (hickory?). Smoky, dark fruits, somewhat acidic but finishes with some dryness. So delicious! — 8 years ago
Bought this gem from Superior liquor. Their guys and gals have taste buds to die for. They will walk you around the store giving you the most mouth watering descriptions, so much so that you are compelled to buy & try. They've never steered me wrong. Pete hope you take care of your darlings.... — 10 years ago

A nice full red — 2 years ago
Fresh saltiness and floral notes on the nose.
Deep savory richness develops on the palate into a round but captivating flavor profile of rye, walnut. Maybe dried cranberry or other dried fruit.
I can't describe this. I need another pass with it. — 3 years ago
Medium bodied. Poured a dusty rose. Nose of raspberry tart. Dill and black tea. A little thin for my taste. Served from magnum. This one still has a little bit of tannic grip. Stiff young oak influence. It was ok, but was not a stunner compared to the other wines on the table. This one will undoubtedly improve over the next 10 years and probably still has 20 years in magnum. I definitely look for this one to start condensing down soon? — 8 years ago
