Super tasty. Tart red fruits with good acidity and a slight funky edge. — 6 years ago

Has that high-toned, wafty scent of PN grown on limestoney soil: almost confectionary cherry/pomegranate fruit, crisp rhubarb, and nose-tingling crushed stone. Tight, minerally, and almost austere in the mouth, but with very nice length and some nice fruit at the end. Seems very youthful for a 6-year old Sancerre rouge. — 7 years ago

This Sancerre has one foot in the litter box and one foot in chalky soil. Intense nose has a bit of cat pee, but also some intense and bright minerality and ultra crisp gooseberry fruit with a squeeze of freshly cut lemon. Round yet very lively in the mouth. Great interplay of sharpness and mineral texture. Long finish and nicely-integrated acids. A wine you can love and yet not like a little bit. — 5 years ago

This was a really nice Sancerre, fresh, crisp and well balanced. More please! — 7 years ago
Checking in on this bottle tonight, and also using some to poach Halibut in the oven, yum!
A light flinty, mineral nose, light creamy oak notes on the palate, but oddly a red fruit character so slightly tonight, like strawberry but not strawberry all at the same time, intriguing. — 7 years ago

Golden wine, slight evidence of gas. Lees on the nose, pear, Asian pear, honey, citrus. On the palate, bruised apple, bitter melon, pear, orange peel, citrus fruit, very nice body. Acidity med +, alcohol is low. Juicy fun wine! Got my somm study cards in the background 😂 — 7 years ago

The last vintage from the master Gerard Potel and what a lovely bottle it was. Fresh, elegant, floral and perfectly mature, though with plenty of life left, and the perfect balance of tertiary expression and fruit purity. Pousse d’or with age rarely disappoints. — 3 years ago
