The 2014 is excellent. Very true to Forey’s elegant and linear style. Red fruit aromas are very pure and high-toned with a bit of orange peel character on top. Lovely spice and smoky mineral character. Good cut on the entry, slightly thin mid palate but a lingering energy and subtle concentration on the finish. These wines take a while to open up but once it happens there is some type of magic. The nose is stunning with a mix of red fruits that are fresh and ripe, herbaceous notes, and earthy tones, black tea and minuscule hints of leather. The plate is sheer elegance, the fruits show tart the flowers and herbs sing fresh and the texture is classic burgundy. — 6 years ago

We had the 2009 Vintage on 9/7-8/18. The strawberry fruit is subtle. There was cardomom, mushroom and a nice spice. Truly Burgundian. Medium bodied. No tannin; smooth and ready to drink. — 8 years ago

The palate is structured, medium to strong bodied and very typical of Nuits Saints Georges but with good fruit and balance, making it a good delicious bottle, would be perfect with a touch more length. 90-91 pts
