This seemed to be in a perfect spot showing red & black fruit, graphite, cedar, sweet savory spice, leather & tobacco — a month ago
From .375 at 20 years. Deep ruby color to rim. Open and mature. — 10 days ago
9/2025. Nice nose. Full flavor. Sits well on the palate. Paired well with the dry aged rib eye at Halls Chophouse. — a month ago
2014 vintage. Last tasted 07.04.25 (9.3) and 01.30.25 (9.3). Decanted with some sed and tasted after 30 mins. Consistent with previous tastings in 2025. Hint of richness up front, then very businesslike afterwards. Fairly dry but began to fold a modicum of fruit into the proceedings a spell ago. Quintessential, affordable BDX with a decade of service tendered out in the boonies but back in town again and starting to hit the hot spots. Lean but not mean. Strike up the conversation in the next year or so and you two just might hit it off. 09.25.25. — a month ago
Medium ruby garnet , quite thin garnet ruby rim . Quite rounded blackberry , cassis , red plum , violet, cedar and burnt embers . On the palate this is quite elegant and red fruited ,red plum , cherry , blackberry and hint of red currant . Quite rounded and generous , balanced acidity and suave , velvety tannins . Medium length , with slightly smoky red fruit finish . This is showing well now , and is the middle of its drinking window . Now and over the next 5 years or so — a month ago
Deep color, no bricking at 25 years. First glass seemed best. But a nice drink with food throughout the meal. — a month ago
Blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, smoke and flinty notes, aged 40% new French oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with cacao, cedar, espresso and spicy notes. Lively acidity, firm dusty tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, tobacco and spicy oak. Needs a little more time in bottle. — 2 months ago
Vintage 2010 | last year our Brabantse Wine Society wine friends @Eric Hoepelman @Willem Jan Withagen @Rob van Kalmthout @Martijn went to the worldchampionship blindtasting and visited Mouton R. This year they are so kind to share experiences with @Berry Marinussen @Liselotte Brouwers Maarten Drop and myself who will attend this year in Jura. This was one of the beautiful wines in the line up — 2 months ago
Beautiful noses that shows a dark core, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, black plum skin and raspberries on the glass edges, dark, dryish earth, sandalwood, river stone, red flowers/roses, framed in bright, brilliant violets.
Beautiful fruit entry with dry, soft tannins. Dryish; blackberries, black raspberries, black plum skin, dark cherries and hints of raspberries. Dark, dry earth, sandalwood, river stone, dark spice, cedar, dry twigs, dry top soil, some dry herbs, dry clay, minimal baking spices, cigar with ash, dark flowers, red flowers/roses, framed in bright, brilliant violets. The acidity is gentle and nice. The finish is 19 elegant & pleasant, mid structured, smartly polished and lasts a full minute.
It has evolved some but still shows as primary. 91+ with some more appropriate cellaring. — 6 months ago

Oak black currant, vanilla, black fruits. Earthy, elegancy and complexity. Still 10 years. Expecting! Rausan Segla 13 @, Vin, 250626 — 4 months ago
Good vintage. — 25 days ago
Impressively knit and proudly firm. A rare treat that is magically sound and correct. An ambivalence insists it has some years left. Scary. — a month ago
Ruby medium opacity, well balanced tannins with red fruits and leather, opened up over time to reveal subtle notes of currants and cherries, great St Estephe! — 22 days ago
I have waited nearly 20 yrs to have this with a steak. Tonight is the night. It’s still early, but a good first look. I would have the next of 3 bottles in 5 yrs and another in 10 yrs.
After a 3 plus hour decant, it still has brawn. With the Ribcap, more than the dark core showed up. Some blue fruits, ripe strawberries and raspberries came out to play.
This still has not hit its precipice.
This is classic Bordeaux & Latour in a grand vintage.
The palate has a dark core of black currants, brambly, blackberries, black raspberries, black cherries, black plum skin, plum with strawberries & raspberries & a touch of blueberries as it sets. Dry tobacco & leather, plenty of graphite, moist grey, volcanic clay, dark rich soils with limestone & pebbles, dark spices w/ some palate heat, hints of caramel, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon & faint vanillin, dry twig, mid berry cola, dry herbs, dry & withering, dark & red florals framed in withering violets, round acidity with still big tension/struture, balance is almost there as is the finish that goes on and on settling on dry earthiness & spice. Better in 5 yrs and drink well for 15 yrs. — a month ago
Dark rubi robe, nose of asphalt, tobacco, cedar wood and a hint of blackcurrant. Very balanced and fresh in the mouth, complex, with a slight dry port note on the finish. Much better than the first bottle. Good stuff even if we prefer more classical vintages. — a month ago
Very smooth. Beautiful wine. Will buy again. — a month ago
All the berries, some flint, weathered leathered tobacco. Ross favorite. Overlooking Saint Paul de Vence. — 2 months ago

2021 vintage. A bit less body and oak than the last few vintages. Some bright frontal cherry and really good value along with (generally) being atypical of St. Estèphe as it comes across as softer. 10.8.25. — 22 days ago
