One of my all time favorites. Could drink every night! Delicious. Crisp. Smooth as satin bed sheets! — 10 years ago
Today I am trying another pinot noir from Chile. This one is from the Maipo Valley region in Chile and higher in the foot hills of the Andes Mountains. This is the 2012 Espino Pinot Noir from William Fevre, known for their Chablis from Burgundy. I really like this pinot noir. on the nose I receive red raspberries, nice earthy notes and some herbal essence. on the palate I can get sour cherry, sour plum, red raspberry, smooth tannin, medium acidity with a clean fresh finish. A real nice example of Pinot Noir for Chile. I bought this for $14.99. — 10 years ago
A very big and chewy wine with dark spice earth and mocha notes to compliment the dark currant dark cherry fruit very complex bouquet of aromas up at around 100 foot elevation planted to volcanic ash this vineyard planted in 1997. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and single vineyard thus is also made by Pierre Seillan. A big and chewy wine on the tongue with lots of tannins on the finish but very balanced and a long Layered finish lots of dark earth and spice through the finish. Finish. 50+ most excellent — 11 years ago
First Bonarda. Perfect for being out at the foot of the Andes watching "Sunset Boulevard" — 12 years ago
Magnificent stuff providing an array of aromas and flavors, this is flirting with perfection! By far the pay refined and elegant vintage to date, this sets a new standard to what's possible in Southeastern Tuscany. Polished tannins and lovely acidity are tucked to bed by silky sweet black curtsy fruit and area specific roasted herb additions. Great, layered, long and very promising finish showing tremendous potent for the long haul. Together with Gabbro 2010, this is Fabio's best wine to date. — 9 years ago
Classic English brown. Carmel, toffee, and very malty. — 10 years ago
One of the finest peaty single malts ever. The long gone 17 year old batch was superior by a hair, but this is some of the finest. Like a bed of sweet moss, misted with brine and caramel. — 10 years ago
2011 deep flavors but really balanced and fleet of foot — 10 years ago
2013 Left Foot Charley #Pinot Blanc, Old Mission Peninsula, #Michigan. One of my fav wines from LFC. Floral aromas of white flower sprinkled with Asian pear and apricot. Concentrated yellow apple, grapefruit & pineapple flavors with a long lush finish. A prime example of why Michigan can do cool climate whites better than you #California. #wine #sommelier #michwine #patio #summer — 11 years ago
Primary nose with earthy underpinnings. Loads of dry extract. Beautiful texture. 70% whole cluster. Foot tred. 1300L Foudre — 11 years ago
Fuck. I can't stop drinking this. This wine bar across from my kitchen is draining my wallet on getting in bed with this girl. Pure relaxation, so silky, so balanced...the minerals, the cherries, the mysteries of every sip. Open for 10 minutes, open for 2 hours, doesn't matter, she's tight, she's loose, she's so gorgeous and quiet. Fuck. I gotta get out of here. — 10 years ago
Surprisingly interesting Lodi zin. Less fruit up front, more complexity in the middle and back. Smooth with lots of caramel and raisin in the middle some vanilla on the back. Pleasant and balanced all around. — 11 years ago

Pinot Meunier is my favourite grape variety. For the new world- I love it so much more than its Noir sibling. It says- hi! I have depth- but I don't take myself seriously. I really like stems and I smell of sweet wet leaves crunching under foot. Yes. Yes.... And yes. Happy Thanksgiving! — 13 years ago

This shows all the fine qualities of southern Rhone. Graphite and minerality on a raspberry bed. Not complex, but a nice sipper that shows all the great qualities of southern Rhone at a very good price point — 9 years ago
