Fresh tobacco leaf and gentle spice box on the nose. Full bodied and full tanic ride to a nice deep red fruit and earth finish. I like this wine a lot. — 8 years ago

Unbelievable value third label Chateaux Margaux. Top year. Memorable Christmas! — 9 years ago
The dimensions of this wine are huge, and I don't mean alcohol, acidity, or tannin, though it has fair bit of all three. There's a depth or a third dimension that only wines from special places have. The fruit is bright and the color pale, but the wine is dark in character. It's the character that Etna has - that rocky, ashy, old balsamic, dusky mountain herb, intense etnosity. — 10 years ago
2012 Rebel Yell: Not as memorable as the bottle opened last year.
Dates, cold brew coffee, toffee and just enough oxidized character to be interesting, but still past its prime.
Rated as an average between samples. — 10 years ago
Had three bottles at dinner tonight with a group of friends. First bottle good, but tannic, perfumed, spicy. Second bottle has the same backbone but lots of dark fruits. Third bottle was near perfect blend of the first two. Had with Chateaubriand. — 10 years ago
Fruit forward, small refreshing bubbles, and a bit of bread dough character! Would go with any food! — 11 years ago
Fruit forward, medium tannins, oak in the back ground. — 12 years ago

I heard about this wine from a lot of old school buyers. It's living up to expectation and more. — 9 years ago
Best new winery in Sonoma and taste as good as Kosta browns productions. Well priced and very are to find. Small production now will get bigger. It's my wife's favorite. — 9 years ago
Un peu trop tôt pour ce 2013 mais j'en ai quelques unes encore et voilait comparer l'évolution. Très bien équilibré, soyeux, beaucoup aimé — 10 years ago

Located on a beautiful 300 hectare estate, the Giscours vineyard is located in the famous Margaux appellation and eventually included as a Third Growth in the 1855 classification. The young palate on this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon: 70%; Merlot: 20%; and Petit Verdot: 10%; shows ripe berry fruits with pronounced toasty oak notes. The tannins are smooth but needs development. The lingering complex finish shows potential over the next decade. Drink the 2012 if you want something now. — 8 years ago
Third red of the evening. Deep garnet red. Needs time, slight portiness and whiskey on the nose. Dark fruits and figs too. Tasted blind but reminded us straight away of the 2009 Force Majeure IV we had earlier last year. Moderate tannins (6/10) and full bodied. A little cherry liquor and dark cocoa on the palate. Long finish and the nose is a bit off-putting. This needs time to mellow out. — 8 years ago

Finally trying Cherry Pie (from Hundred Acre). 3 different single vineyard Pinots from 2012. Stanly Ranch is dynamite (and a vineyard to keep an eye on). Reminiscent of Kosta Browne. Next up is Rodgers Creek. Darker fruit. Less explosive, but a nice wine. Third up is Carinalli. Way lighter, though some spice to it. It's fine, but doesn't hold a candle to the other two. (Thanks Mastro's in Scottsdale for hosting me!) — 9 years ago
Brightly bitter, with a long yeasty, wheaty finish. Yum! — 9 years ago
Very untraditional sake with a big kick... lots of flavors that are more wine based... floral grassy minty a nice change of pace... just be aware that it's not subtle sake you would expect — 10 years ago
It definitely needs to breathe a but but its good. Fruity without being too sweet. I drank it after a long work week and frankly it did the trick! Worth a try and a good wine to bring to a party of non/wine drinkers alike. — 10 years ago
Clocking in at only 13% abv, this third growth vintage 2003 is an absolute stunner. Suave and sophisticated, abundant fruit, nice acid to balance, minerality, well integrated tannins and long finish! For maximum enjoyment decant 1 hour or more before imbibing. And yes it has amazing aging ability, this wine is still clearly a youngster, full of youthful ambitions! — 12 years ago

Third of the blind tasting for Father's Day weekend.
Dark purplish ruby red. Dark fruits on the nose with notes of forest floor and some aged characteristics of mushrooms. Solid acidity and heavy tannins (7/10). Rich palate on the attack with black fruits. Opened up to some anise, a touch aged, earthiness and some minerality. Medium plus body and long finish. Drink till 2028. (91+)
Will leave our last bottle for a few years. Hopefully this will improve with age. — 8 years ago
