Was sold as Meomis Momma. Since I love Meomi, I tried it. Wasn’t disappointed. Drank incredibly well for such a young wine. Paired with a rib eye steak and great conversation. It’s a bit pricey though. — 6 years ago
Delicious wine, smooth, great with rib eye. — 7 years ago
Surprisingly good for boxed wine. Balanced red sec, dried Italian cherries up front (though not too jammy) and notes of clove of the back end. — 8 years ago
fresh cut grass with tropical nots of passion fruit, guava, and citrus — 8 years ago
Decanted it. Didn’t particularly care for it by itself, or with my arugula salad with goat cheese, cashews, and yellow cherry tomatoes. It went well with the rib eye with blue cheese crumbles and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and yellow raisins. After the meal, the wine had opened up enough that it was excellent by itself. — 7 years ago
Cassis, tobacco, silky tannins. Needs time to open up so give it a good decant and then drink with food (a big rib eye, perhaps?) — 8 years ago
Best NZ riesling I have tasted. Exceptional and worth seeking out — 9 years ago
Bright red plum and cherry. Cedar and vanilla. Well structured. — 6 years ago
Guess this is young but very pure and clean fruit and acidity-tannin balance. Fresh herbs. Perfect with rib-eye steak. At Il Cortile Paso Robles. Actually have trouble not thinking this includes some Sangiovese, either coming from the winemaking style or just Tuscany in my head. — 8 years ago
Good body lemon meringue flavor with white peach, with good acidity. — 8 years ago
Total beast. Did a quick double decant since it's 12 years old but should have let it open for a couple of hours. Eye watering nose of dirt, nutmeg, cinnamon, bramble, and camphor. Massive palate with plenty of fruit and tannin left. 45 second finish. What an awesome cab blend! — 9 years ago
