I love a “risk-reward” purchase....I bought this blind and was rewarded with real quality. Quite a nice single block build - a little PV AND MERLOT (about 10% total) from the steepest slope and highest point in the vineyard. With a month of hurricane rains this still has the concentration you would expect from a classic vintage. I can only wonder how this was solved in the cellar ;) Nevertheless, it had dynamite structure and acidity to complement a complete pallet black fruit and spices! — 7 years ago
Violets, minerals, tapenade and smoky bacon aromas accent the dynamite plum and cassis fruit on the crazy good nose of this wine. Palate is bright with minerality, zesty acidity that works in sync with the cassis, blackberry and red cherry fruit tones. The tannins are seamless which lends an elegance to the palate. It has a supple, intense, spicy finish. This is drinking fantastically. I appears to be at its peak but should hold there for 3 to 5 more years. — 8 years ago
Finally trying Cherry Pie (from Hundred Acre). 3 different single vineyard Pinots from 2012. Stanly Ranch is dynamite (and a vineyard to keep an eye on). Reminiscent of Kosta Browne. Next up is Rodgers Creek. Darker fruit. Less explosive, but a nice wine. Third up is Carinalli. Way lighter, though some spice to it. It's fine, but doesn't hold a candle to the other two. 2007 petite Syrah - 9.1+dynamite-strong and grippy, bold. I really liked this. I bought 3 bottles of this. $63? — 7 years ago
Boxler produced a tactile Brand Riesling in 2015 - chalky textured, with flavors of magnolia petal, orange blossom, rosewater, and candied ginger. Dynamite. — 7 years ago
Fabulous wine that showcases all the best aspect of Meursault with notes of almond and hazelnut with just a hint of ripe cream to support bright apple, pear and lemon curd fruit. The wine has a dynamite mineral spine that wraps around the creamy orchard fruit flavors. A focused but rich finish. As good a village Meursault as I have had in the last 5 years — 8 years ago
Deliciously bracing acidity and stony minerality, with an intensely citric nose. Dynamite value in a premier cru. — 9 years ago
This is a experiment Erich did; only a few barrels made; we tasted out of barrel in 2014. Blackberry tart and toasted oak on the nose. The palate is round and plush; velvet drapes of blue and black fruit. Finishes a bit short and with a vegetal edge. Black pepper lingers. — 9 years ago

Lovely mature white Burg nose with almond cream, hazelnut, gold apple and lemon curd fruit that is supported by a touch of salty, minerality to lend focus. Rich palate with lemon peel, ripe apple and tangerine fruit accented by supple hazelnut and spice flavors. The finish retains the acidity that helps keep this lively. This is dynamite to drink and disappeared quickly. — 7 years ago
