A dense, granular quality to this. Ripe and satisfying but also complex and well balanced. — 5 months ago
The final wine at the Yarra Yering dinner in Brisbane last Thursday night 3rd October 2024 with winemaker Sarah Crowe. Fitting that Dry Red No. 1 should be the final wine - arguably the Jewel in the Crown. Initial aromatic impressions are gorgeous. This is the 50th vintage of Dry Red No. 1. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Brief notes - blackberry, aniseed and bay leaf. A medium bodied Cabernet with M+ intensity and finishing with fine boned tannin structure. Power with poise, concentration with finesse. Will live for 20 years plus. I have been buying on an irregular basis for many years. The 1990 was a highlight. I asked Sarah, who was Chairman of the Royal Sydney Wine Show this year to compare 3 of the main Cabernet producing areas in Australia - Yarra Valley leafy fragrance, Coonawarra Mint, and Margaret River herbaceousness. Complex, dry Riesling, apricot, apple, tangerine and minerality. — 4 months ago
Bright silver/gold color. Aromas of lemon candy, apple, white flowers and lime. Expressive flavors of lemon, tropical fruit, Granny Smith apple and peaches. Hint of fresh herbs on the medium-plus finish. Mouth watering acidity and excellent balance. Pleasant mouthfeel and aftertaste. So flavorful, bold and well crafted. Heard very good things about Trefethen Dry Riesling and I am glad I finally tried it. Unique Riesling style. — 5 months ago
Riesling, not Gewurtztraminer. Very good Riesling from the finger lakes - Eli’s find. @Eli Barton — 6 months ago
Citrus taste. Bright, aromatic. — 2 years ago
Powerful for an American Riesling, showing lots of minerals and even a bit of petrol overlaying floral, lemon, and lime aromas. As dry as advertised. Not as heavy bodied as its overseas or Washington State counterparts, likely because of the cooler climate. — 3 months ago
Skin contact Slovenian Pinot Grigio. Beautiful light copper/peach color. Aromas and flavors of ripe pear, melon and nectarines. Additional notes of minerals and yeast. Nice creamy texture. Full flavored and nice mouthfeel. Crisp acidity. Very dry, delicate and quite fresh tasting. Wonderful complexity. Great quality for the price. — 4 months ago
Honestly great. Very floral. Perfect by itself. — 4 months ago

Minerality, crispness, mostly dry…a profile I love. I was pleasantly surprised by this find at Fred Meyer!

Very well balanced semi-dry. Has the zesty, moderate acidity of a dry Riesling to show off minerally and lime zest notes. Finishes sweet without being cloying. — 2 months ago
