Deep but bright orangey gold. Not much mousse to speak of, though that's likely a product of age (and less-than-desirable state store storage conditions). Likewise the somewhat weak bubbles. Biscuity quince and white stone fruit on the nose and palate. Still a firm backbone of acidity though, and that made it a great pair with "nouveau European" fare (trout almondine, fusilli carbonara). Would love to try it upon release. — 7 years ago
Showing it's age. Almond skin and bruised apple with sherry notes. — 7 years ago
Crisp green apples, pears, white flowers and crushed rocks abound in Adami's 2012 Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive del Giardino, a great example of the heights Prosecco can reach in the hands of a diligent producer. (AG)

Bollicine delicatissime, un bellissimo amaro, lungo, acidità bilanciata, naso mela e agrumi. Uauh!!! — 8 years ago
Lemon oil on a swab, smoky flint, underripe melon, squash blossom, corn husk bordering on jalapeño muffin, hay bale, eggshell, pie crust and white mushrooms are the primary scents. Lighter mouthfeel, with an unexpected creaminess turns olive oil with lemon oil, caperberry, and rag paper. Austerity minimized by a day of age. #moutard #chablis #chablisfordays #blancshavemorefun #blanc #chablisian #hashtag #vivelafrance — 7 years ago
Dry and rounded, very, very drinkable! — 7 years ago
Loved this the moment I smelled the light sea breeze wafting through a berry patch. Crisp mouth without being tart. There is a mineral flavor, but more of a saline nature (hence the sea breeze) not rocks or river. Fruit is not dominate. This is beautiful and I wish I could drink it at sunrise and sunset. — 8 years ago
Very good. Slightly sweet, could be a good digestif too. Medium bubbles. Almost fruity flavour — 8 years ago

Who said you cant find great winelists in Vancouver? You just have to be diligent. — 7 years ago
Piuze & the Moutard family of Champagne working together. This is a blend of fruit from Chablis & Petit Chablis, unoaked. Nervy tension & fresh acid driven fruit dances across the palate. The nose offers a great mix of citrus zest & floral notes which get deeper than expected at the Bourgogne level. A very good example of the fresh, bright style of Chardonnay. — 7 years ago

We had it fairly chilled. Needs some diligent decanting as there is a prodigious amount of sediment. This wine had a fair amount of new oak on it at fermentation and elevage, so I was expecting that oak to still be an overwhelming mask on the wine. Not at all. There is definitely the presence of oak and a higher alcohol level than what we produce today, but there is still savory finesse in this wine--particularly in the mouthfeel. — 8 years ago

Nathan and his mom are consistent, if nothing else. However, they are diligent farmers and the site(s) are starting to produce real clarity of fruit. This 2015 Chard is the best yet because it has the apple/pear citric components, the mineral-tinged acidity, and bonus of a richer mouthfeel. It overall more complete, but I will go back and compare to 12 & 14 again. Bottom line, I will up my distribution for the fall club release. — 6 years ago
