Lots of character from age but also fresh... from a private stash housed “underneath” the Domaine’s cellar, I am told. — 7 years ago

And this has got me off the Sonoma Pinot train 👍😍 — 11 years ago
Dark golden color. Lemon curd, honey, pear, touch of tangerine citrus, love the freshness and acidity on the mouth that had the wine showing much younger than its 22 yrs. — 11 years ago

2010. Amazing. Pure velvet. Cherries, touch of pepper, nice acid. Great balance. Still young though. — 5 years ago

Would never have guessed pacalet or 2009. Really good. — 7 years ago
The 2014 is excellent. Very true to Forey’s elegant and linear style. Red fruit aromas are very pure and high-toned with a bit of orange peel character on top. Lovely spice and smoky mineral character. Good cut on the entry, slightly thin mid palate but a lingering energy and subtle concentration on the finish. This is not going to grab your senses with weight or power, but delivers impact nonetheless. — 8 years ago

Outshined by other fantastic burgundies in a tasting today, but good efforts. A little sulfur and matchstick on the nose, but good stone and chalk backing it up. Slightly more tropical perhaps as well. — 10 years ago

Drinkable after decanting. Would have preferred it to be drier and full bodied. — 12 years ago
Dancer’s Perrieres vines are sandwiched in between the great Roulot and Lafon, and his 2013 Perrieres is a stunner. There is so much depth to this wine and it’s about so much more than just reduction. It’s detailed, complex and layered with yellow fruit and stony minerals with superb density and inner mouth tension. It’s powerful and intense but its weight is so lifted and the freshness of the vintage keeps it impeccably well balanced. There is a line of pulsating acidity and exhilarating energy on the palate that leads to an explosively long finale. — 5 years ago

Something a bit funny here. A hint of melon. Lemon and limpid lime and rocks. Good, but lacks a bit of the punch and the jolt of acid you’d expect at this age. — 7 years ago
Tres classique! — 8 years ago
Love it. Nice vanilla on nose with green apple backed up with well balanced acidity and medium + body. Sense of french oak after acidity is very seductive. Keep thinking of this baby — 10 years ago
Nose and palate of yellow flowers and citrus. Notably fresh, compared to recent tired bottle. — 10 years ago
Favourite white in a long time. Will definitely get this again! — 11 years ago

Linear style with some richness, citrus, orchid fruit, hint of matchstick, mineral & floral notes. Very enjoyable. — 4 years ago
