On the palate ripe apple, pear, melon, creamy lemon fruit flavors with notes of wet stone and warm vanilla oak, medium+ balance with vivid acidity. At Batard in NYC. Decanted. Nice aged ruby color. Sweet nose including ripe berries, mushroom, forest floor and some spice. Good mouth feel that lasts long enough to give you the terroir impact. Really like the finish. This was on the wine list at two restaurants in NYC this week and both somms said this was a recent direct release from the domaine. So good provenance and a good showing for a so so vintage. — 11 years ago
