Lovely, light, refreshing — 9 years ago
Slightly cloudy garnet ruby core . Some herbal and slightly funky undergrowth , dried red fruits, dried mushroom , tobacco and dried spices, touch medicinal also. On the palate still some fruit , dried red cherry, those sous bois notes , rose and spice , liquorice . Balanced acidity, noticeable slightly angular tannin. Ok length with just a touch of warmth , slightly smoky finish . This is mature and should be drunk as I don’t see it improving. Drink Now and next 5 years . — 3 months ago
From Chambers birthday 2020 on 10/8/2023. Lovely, dark luxardo cherry, raisin, licorice knows. Muscular straight up structure. Nice continuity between nose and palate. — 8 months ago
Not totally fresh but fine split and consumed quickly. — 10 months ago
Like a spear. Apricot, anise, less honey. Young and tight but exciting. Stellar. — 9 years ago
Quite stony on the nose , green apple , wet wool. On the palate fills out well with more green fruits , apple , pear and quince with a creamy , slightly waxy character to go with the flinty , saline and stony notes . Good balanced acidity and decent , honey tinged finish . Enjoyable now though will age well over the next 10 -15 years or so . — 3 months ago
Dry and complex with apricot dry fruit. Excellent wine — 5 months ago
Redfruits, nice acid lifts this, fully mature and is super clean compared to the gamey/leathery/slightly funky 1999 Pegau CdP, but lacks the depth or flavor interest or sheer complexity of the Pegau!! — 7 months ago
