Swiss Rose is very under rated - has bags of flavour & fantastic with lake fish around Lac Leman - hard to find outside of Switzerland except for Betty's Tea Rooms in Harrogate!! — 10 years ago
One of the best value wines I've come across. Power with elegance. Great acidity and fruit. It is great for seafood, heavy appetizers, sauced dishes or big steaks. When I bought it for my venue the deciding factor was the fact it made me smile. — 10 years ago
Pale gold in color, day bright, clear, slight evidence of gas. Medium concentration and viscosity.
Nose of sweet lemon, ripe white peach, ripe yellow delicious apple, slight floral/white blossom, evidence of chalky inorganic earth.
Palate confirms nose. Crisp, slight effervescence, med plus acid, med alcohol, med plus(ish) complexity, med plus finish.
Refreshing, light, and clean. — 11 years ago
Smooth on the palette, nice blend and would love more — 11 years ago
My favourite Fendant wine, 100% Chasselas grapes. One of the best Swiss wines I know. When bought at the Domaine you pay approx 16 Swiss francs, or € 13,50. — 12 years ago
As Charles Darwin said: "it doesn't suck." Or something like that. The shit's good, yo. #delectableapp — 12 years ago
2011 vintage. At Au Fils du Zinc in Chablis. Fabian recommended this bottle over the more famed Les Clos 2011 as he thought it would be drinking better. And boy he was right. A very big wine, I would recommend serving it ever so slightly colder than normal to restrain the power in this wine. Medium golden hue. The wine has crushed rock chalkiness, honey blossom and plenty of ripe peach notes. On the palate, this wine explodes with power and ripeness, medium plus body and a very broad mid palate that coats your tongue. The acidity makes your lips smack and powers the very long citrus finish. Hugely impressive compared with my expectations. Really enjoyable particularly with the cheese I had for dessert. Drink now - doubt it can get much better from here. — 9 years ago
I love me some Rhône Valley Wines. Black peppers, slightly flowery, great fruit. Fine grained tannins. Super elegant wine. Love it! — 10 years ago

Fruity, quince, lemon and nice acid — 11 years ago
Phenomenal and very smooth yet full of fruit and berries. Zero alcohol with this 2004. Needed to breath but opened nicely. — 11 years ago
Excellent visit down to the bottom of the Cotes de Blancs; to see Charles Fourny of Veuve Fourny et Fils; fifth generation maker in Vertus; 500 ha region and one of the largest appellations in Champagne; with his passionate double, brother Emmanuel; tasting modern grower Champagne based on chardonnay; with texture to avoid high dosage; typically 3-6; and one zero; time and preciseness make the difference; plus 40% reserve wines for palatability; this is the House NV; #champagne #vertus #veuvefourny #grandereserve #blancdeblancs #uncorkedandcultivated #wineandfoodtour #france2015 — 11 years ago

1986 vintage. At Au Fils du Zinc in Chablis - thank you Fabian for picking the best white wine experience of the year. This was a wine that Mr Raveneau didn't release because he thought there was too much oak and sulphur. Only recently did they realise they had a gem. Medium golden hue. Honeyed, white peach, lemon pieces, iodine and crushed rock minerality. Slight bovril note and sea shell with air. Amazing complexity. On the palate, perfect balance between fresh acidity and body, highly concentrated and layers of complexity. Very very long. Outstanding. Still fresh enough to last another 7-10 years at least. — 9 years ago
