v21. Very good! Strawberry nose. Fresh strawberry and lime fruit. Clean, bright, citrus zest finish. Nice entertaining wine. — 2 years ago
I’ve bought this bottle probably 8 times now. I love it. For me, on the nose it gives off a smell of straw, oak and fruit. It is mid-light weight. — 4 years ago

Tart black cherry, anise, pine and alpine vibes, high acidity, low spicy tannins.
A beautiful Cali Barbera with the acidity and spice of Piemonte, with the high toned fruit of California sunshine. I love! — 5 years ago
This wine was excellent. It was strong in smell but incredibly drinkable. It was very complex and different. It gave us a nice feel as well. Highly recommend. — 8 years ago
Concentrated cherry and singing acidity. One of my favorites from Elisabetta and back on our list. — 10 years ago

2001, Madonna delle Grazie Il Marroneto Sangiovese. A Brunello with 14 years of aging, doesn't get much better. Still has primary black fruit but layers of secondary flavors. It continues to open up and get more complex through the evening. — 11 years ago
Crisp. Not quite as citrusy as expected. Delicious nonetheless — 12 years ago
Blueberry, eucalyptus, rhubarb, tobacco, chocolate, licorice, violets, mineral and balsamic. Really an amazing wine! — 13 years ago
Highly recommend, such a smooth and pleasant wine. This wine is from Italy’s Alto Adige Valley. — 8 months ago
Great wine even though it didn’t hold up to my memories of former vintages, maybe because it’s a rare wine in its class that’s both excellent but drinks better young. It shed its primary character and left behind some ginger, vegetal tomato leaf and a silky texture with a long finish, driven by very prominent phenolic bitterness. Drinks like an austere high-quality white Bordeaux without the oak, but I miss the vibrant fruitiness and stronger Italian quality I get in its youth — 8 months ago
