Bought this knowing nothing about the wine on recommendation of my Delectable friend Anthony Lombardi, whom I have actually never met (one of the many things I love about this app). My initial reaction to the color and nose was WTF, not having any experience with these wines, but then I got it. Orange rind, over ripe peach, nectarine, apricot, orangina, capers, lemons, spice, sand, bunch of other stuff, all coming from a cloudy, orangish, smoky liquid that resembled what I understood to be wine, and I can’t say there was a finish because I kept tasting it long after it was done. Oh and it changed a lot over several hours. Felt archaic, organic, creative, weird, and natural. Thanks Anthony. — 5 years ago

This is my 10,000 bottle to add to delectable. We decanted an hour. Perfect cork. Deep dark purple color. Nose of leather, cedar, and dark fruit. Black current, blackberry, spice and tobacco on the palette. Nice long finish of dark fruit. Outstanding! — 4 years ago

@Delectable Wine this is the Les Ensiegneres, not the village Puligny. Cool yellow fruit & ripe apricots with minty nuance. Flinty nose & fresh acid add complexity. Very pretty wine took a little time to open up, but quite generous. — 5 years ago

30+ minute decant and could have used a little more. Pretty much an average Bordeaux. Nose is the best and the finish the worst. Describe your favorite Bordeaux and then pair everything back 3-4 times; that’s this wine. Decent value at £25, but unmemorable in every regard. If someone asks me if I have had this in 3yrs I probably wouldn’t be able to recall it, hence the need for Delectable :). Somehow I have one more bottle of this exact vintage in the U.S. Not sure how I acquired that. — 7 years ago

To quote my two friends @Martin G Rivard and @Mike Rowe this is a bad ass wine eliciting smiles all around (and a great way to start 2017). Parker gave this a perfect score and it is a beauty. Decanting is a must at this point. It's been opening up over the last 4 hours and think it will continue to improve if I can sip more slowly lol. Slightly cloudy, and a bright purple in the glass. On the nose, cassis, vanilla and toast dominate. The sips are long and driven by fruit (blue and blackberries and cassis). Liquid silk in the mouth with sweet tannins and a surprisingly strong acidity. The finish is long. This is a total baby but I had to try it. Happy New Year to all my Delectable friends and especially to my fellow Wine Nerd Herd. I've always believed that sharing wine with friends is the greatest gift and this app has enabled me to do that with friends near and far and connect with some great people. May 2017 be a year of great health and happiness and may all our glasses be full! — 9 years ago

Similar to notes of 31 weeks ago here on Delectable. Very pale lemon in colour for a 6 year old Chardonnay. Sulphidic notes on the nose with Citrus and Grapefruit. In the lean style. Next day still plenty of citric acid. It remains a classy modern Australian Chardonnay but I have had better examples. — 4 years ago

Perhaps, their best vintage from this terroir. Honeysuckle, white citrus, stone fruit, yellow lilies & some spring flowers, nice texture and beautiful round acidity with a nicely polished finish. Great wine and QPR from this producer. Don’t let the Delectable price fool you, I paid just over $50 on pre-arrival. — 7 years ago

This will likely wrap it up for me. A birth year bottle on my birthday and my 1000th bottle on Delectable. It’s a bottle that makes you appreciate the beauty of the wine, it’s story, and times and occasions you share a bottle. Faint red fruits, leathers, dust, tar, and a pretty acidity. It opened up over an hour, drank well for a couple and did some fading thereafter. — 8 years ago
