This magnum was better for its graceful aging and pedigree than its core elements. The sheer silkiness and stark perfume of age has ironed out the flaws and angularity I recalled from this troubled vintage years ago. A reminder of the organic nature of this juice we love. — 6 years ago
It's sunny and just over 30°F today, so fire in the chimnea time! First flames of 2019.
One of our favorite new (2009) AOC's in France, this is 80% Gamay & 20% Poulsard, but the epitome of 100% sparkling strawberry juice! So GD delicious!
One thing to note, last bottle is always the best, we're out of stock now, but don't hold these too long. We've seen bottle variation, likely best to track lot codes on the bottles and make sure your buying a newer version than the last, since we're talking about an NV product. — 7 years ago

Tawny with reddish amber rims. Dark yet translucent. Great old Chave nose. Black cherry, wet forest floor, smoked meats, menthol, slate stone and rhubarb notes. Vibrant in the mouth right out of the gate. Lots of structure and pucker. Fruit present but starting to fade. This was at peak first two hours and then started slowing down, opposite of the Trimbach CSH next to it. Still this was really good ~37 yr old grape juice. — 6 years ago
Drank this beauty in New Mexico with friends. Blackberries, sour apple and pine. — 6 years ago
From the Willi’s Wine Bar list. Light straw gold. Heavy, more weight and depth when compared with the Meursault Exudes young Chablis with sea breeze and salinity, honeysuckle, wet clay and white flowers in the nose. Rich and heavy in the mouth. Shows power and complexity with air. Needs time. But this is pretty good juice. — 7 years ago
Like your mom’s day old raspberry crisp with a fresh lemon juice squeeze, a healthy dusting of white pepper and a scoop of fatty vanilla bean ice cream, suddenly the doorbell rings, you answer and no one is there except for a basket of oily bratwurst cooked in duck fat — 7 years ago
Mom’s birthday! Nice to see this one on the list for $65. Doesn’t make up for them turning us down for our pre-wedding event (Go Stoller!) but still good juice. — 8 years ago

Very funky on the nose, after decanting funk mellowed out. Acidic, mineral forward, barnyard juice. Geuze-like — 7 years ago
Light fruity juicy AF — 8 years ago
70% Frappato, 30% Nero d’Avola. Medium ruby with a bright pink rim. Very reductive at the beginning. Then the explosion of fresh squeezed red tart cherry, raspberry, plum and cranberry juice. So pure and bright. Mixed with a hint of black pepper. Tons of red fruits on the palate as well. Bright tart acidity. Little tannins. Mouthwatering good. Killer wine. 12.5% alc — 8 years ago

60% Gamay, 40% Pinot. Pretty ruby color with pink edges. Herbs, spices, fresh cut roses, cinnamon, and bright strawberries. Light-bodied and at 12.5 you could, and will want to, gulp this stuff down quick. Show some patience and you'll see that it just keeps improving over the night. In the mouth, there's a ton of fresh fruit. Cherries, raspberries, and blackberries combine with wet grass and dirt to really showcase the funk. Gracefully dancing on your tongue, I'm quite impressed by this. — 9 years ago
