Popped and poured; enjoyed over a 90 minute period. No formal notes. Slightly deeper in color than the Benanti enjoyed before and there’s a bit more depth in general when comparing the two. Ripe strawberries and cherries. Savory. Good structure. Drinking well now but this has the stuffing to mature gracefully over the next decade. — 4 months ago
Very dense and dark color. This is intense. A superb cherry and almond nose. Rather simple but inviting. The palate is much better. A strong acid drive which leads the way, a superb width with a blooming cherry note all along. A nice, soft mouthfeel and some matter on the side. Tannins pop up in midpalate with a very fine grain that remains as a layer on top of the mouthfeel until the very end. The finish is fresh with the fruit note and this grainy, almost sandy tannins. This is very good! We paired with home made pasta al ragù, and this was a dream pairing. — 3 years ago

First of the Sicilian entries, less popular than the Tancredi afterward though excellent pairing with Greek chicken/salad…more the traditionally Mediterranean earth though far more elegantly done — 2 years ago

Sunday evening casual pour. No real notes. Flinty and lemony on the nose. Fresh, acid driven with almond and lemony notes all along. Fresh and minerally finish that goes on for a while. It's simple and fresh and everything I want to drink right now. — 4 months ago
