Vin Rouge Carignan - Merlot Blend

Carignan Merlot French red. Serve chilled. Medium body, light tannin, very quaffable, not too juicy. Great summer red. Another good value from Jenny & Francois at $13 — 2 months ago

Mas des Bressades

Cabernet-Syrah Blend 2018

On nose menthol and oak like fernet. On the palate black currants, blackberries, butter, oak, fernet branca, with a medicinal black tea finish. First time having a Cabernet Syrah blend and it's blowing my mind. I'm not sure I quite like it but it's the most interesting wine I've had in a while. — 7 months ago

Le Fervent Costières de Nîmes Syrah Blend 2014

Cool critter label. Dark and murky. Smells of prune and cherry compote. Also leather. Flavors are juicy, strong and ripe. Licorice streak is nice. Also minty and zippy with the acid. — 17 days ago

Nostre Pais Blanc Costières-de-Nîmes White Rhone Blend 2019

With grilled tilapia, salad, and carrots. And dessert of berries on banana bread, this was just the thing! It paired welled with everything! I think this wine is a versatile winner! — a month ago

9.1

Drank 8/23/22

Scents of black and purple fruit with blackberry, plum, black cherry, and a bit of garrigue. Dark flavors of black cherry, tar, coffee, earth, and firm tannins. This is relatively high alcohol at 14.5%, but wears it well. Long, dark, finish with drying tannins.
