Great amarone. Classic, but a modernized version. Super complex, and multi-layered. Does not feel so overpowering, as some other amarone. It drank easier, without sacrificing the body. — 7 years ago

Spicy long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 14 year old Amarone is still delicious, with a beautiful color and a great nose. Tangy and very spicy.
Elegant and fruit forward. Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle.
Will not last much longer, so drink up if you have one.

. 60% Corvinone and 40% Molinara, the grapes were hand harvested and destemmed, and lightly pressed using only free run juice. A short 5 to 6 day maceration, aged in cement tanks. Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.
Light nose of blueberries, dried figs, raisins, vanilla, sweet raspberries, tobacco, herbs, wood, earth, chocolates, coffee, vegetables, leather and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, dark cherries, blueberries, wood, cloves, vanilla, spices, espresso, vegetables, earth, wet leaves, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with grippy tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is a young Amarone. Still not fully balanced, but already enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.
I would recommend to let it open for a couple of hours to show the complexity and the big tannins.
Needs 5 to 10 years of additional bottle time, to properly mature and tone down on the tannins.

Traditional Northeast Italian blend of Rondinella (20%) Molinara (10%), Corvina (50%) and Corvinone (20%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of red cherry jam, cranberry, baking spices, Forrest Floor and red/purple flowers. Pallet is rich with flavors of cooked cherry fruit, red currants, baking spices, vanilla and black pepper spice. Relatively light in body style with lively acidity. Smooth tannins. It was the right call to drink this one young. Better on the second day. — 3 years ago
