Floral and berry aromas, semisweet, starts out tart with raspberry flavors and finishes smooth with a hint of honeysuckle. A very nice white zin. — 6 years ago

Note : What a pleasure to open and taste this wine. An opening with the family to accompany the lamb. A red robe with purplish glints. An aromatic nose of flowers, copper and red fruits. On the palate, a treat with harmony and complexity very well balanced. Excellent length and infinite pleasure.

What a pleasure to drink in the Singaporean heat. Has some age to it for a Macon Cruzille red. Pale ruby, floral and red cranberries/raspberries, violets/lavender. Reminded me of a grignolino. Tinge of copper. Very light on palate, light bodied, smooth, dangerous to drink. — 8 years ago
Lovely Malbec, would drink again. — 8 years ago
This is a lovely albeit light rosé. The consult at its heart gives it a happy elegance and hint of spice. Pale copper salmon, fresh, floral and slightly citrus on nose and palate it is light and refreshing. Also delicious and very easy to drink. Bring in the summer — 8 years ago
Another rare creature from Forlorn Hope. Matthew never disappoints. This is 100% Trousseau Noir from Matthew's own Rorick Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills. Like the Jura with some extra California sunshine. Juicy with a little funk and a little herbaceousness. Pours a pale copper-inflected ruby. Nose of pomegranate and blood orange peel, Campari, fennel seed, crushed granite, a rose-y floral character, and guava. Perhaps the slightest hint of brett? But not at all distracting. Palate echoes the nose pretty congruently, still pomegranate and blood orange predominating with a little more spice and mineral focus. Light bodied, medium (+) acid, and just a tiny touch of soft tannin. If you were insistent on having a red wine as an aperitif, I can't imagine one much better than this one with its herbal, slightly bitter Campari-esque edge. Drink at cellar temp. Also a great option if you want a red with a charcuterie and cheese plate. — 9 years ago

Global Champagne Day 2018...Why not?
@Casey @ Travelling Corkscrew I'm not going to sabre this one, maybe another time. Nice post/feature today.
Seemed excessively frizzante when we opened the bottle, more mellow after an hour, quite nice. Lightly brioche, the Chardonnay is more prominent tonight. Light caramel on under-ripe peach, delish. At hour two, lightly saline, red fruit arrives, the terroir is making an appearance. — 7 years ago
Copper color, nutty, creamy, rich, and delicious. Long finish with gripping tannins. — 8 years ago

Pink Pinot Porn 💗
The steamy finessed intricate pink bubbles tease you as they dance around the glass hypnotising you to take a sip of the deep clear amber, shining copper & salmon love juice. The nose seduces with a powerful floral cherry red berry smokey soil leafy peachy brioche mist. Helplessly your palette succumbs to a smooth rich strawberry peach & red berry biscuity mousse caress that teases you to take another as the kiss lingers on and on. I thought the 96 pink DP was hot but this is X-rated! Drank in a Zalto Burgundy glass & decanted.

A great non-expensive Merlot for everyday drinking. — 8 years ago
Definitely showing some age tonight, still lively and nicely balanced acidity, solid finish, I’d say mature, but should hold another few years, served with our first grilled wild salmon of the season (sadly, not Copper River). — 5 years ago

Oh what a joy! Slightly copper colored and little rs. Loved — 8 years ago
Excellent wine from Paso. Tastes like a very complex Pinot but it's a blend of 4 Rhone varietals. Grenache, Syrah, Petite Syrah and Viognier. — 8 years ago
