Intoxicating aromatics. Oak presence is well felt - turns out it’s 100% new - but there’s also a raft of florals, think roses and violets along with ripe dark cherry and plum. Really composed in the palate with seemless acidity & oak tannin just making itself known pulling in at the back. Impressive wine, would be decisive though due to heavy handed oak. — 7 years ago
Another weekly wine Committee lunch that I was able to attend, hosted by @Weston Eidson & @Colby Siratt. Excellent job, fellas! All wines tasted blind as usual.
Awesome french champagne. All typical french champagne traits were present (brioche, crisp green apple, sweet lemon, loads of minuscule bubbles). Delicious. — 9 years ago
Pleasant with medium weight Cabernet aroma and flavors.. Good quality for a modest price. Drink now... — 9 years ago
Rich and complex. Lots of woody, nutty flavors. Mild acidity, nice finish. — 11 years ago
This is an excellent rose. There is fresh acidity, elegant red fruits such as strawberry. Excellent with sushi. — 11 years ago

$25 @ Domestique. — 5 years ago
It seems like the price of this creeps up every year which is vexing. The speciale is rich and intensely vinous and umami, with cutting acidity (non-malo) tart green apple and mandarin orange, spearmint, spice and toast. Still think I prefer the basic cuvée pound for pound — 7 years ago

Always such a pleasure. Perfect for a rainy Sunday afternoon. White cherries, mineral and some brioche on the lovely nose. So elegant and mineral with a nice delicate mousse. Good sap and concentration. Very juicy. — 9 years ago

Settling in quite nicely. These Corsican wines from Abbatucci are among some of the great wines of France. Truly remarkable and unique. #abbatucciismyhomeboy #brossolabianca #brostiano — 11 years ago
Very good new world red — 11 years ago
Very smooth. The partly barrel-fermented, partly-steel fermented really comes through. Great mouth feel and balance. — 12 years ago
Un vino blanco muy diferente, interesante y delicioso! — 12 years ago

Wanted to drink this after listening to Dominique’s IDTT interview. Found the best nationally priced bottle in Pasadena and it showed really nicely, particularly after being open for something like 4 hours. I like his winemaking approach here, which doesn’t seem to be about elevating it beyond its provenance. It’s a delicious, mineral wine that would crush with shellfish and was lovely in the afternoon along with The Trip to Spain. — 9 years ago
