Good fruit to balance the xbrut — 9 months ago
Bright, acidic, bubbly, light red! — 2 years ago
Vin blanc sec (1.4g sucre), acidité présente mais très bien équilibré, il n’y a pas citrus intense, au contraire il y a un certain velouté en bouche. Fleurs blanche, pêche. Excellent avec volaille, poissons, fruits de mer. SAQ Cellier $19 — 3 months ago
Picked this up from Rex or White. Served with a charcuterie board with Debbie and David. — 6 months ago
Black fruits expression of the gamay, foreshadowing the North Rhône’s Syrah. Many juicy shades of fruit including black cherry, blackberries, licorice, pepper, flower nuances, marked acidity. Still fits very well even at D+4. Very nice product, nature style
— a year ago
Light, clean, hints of cherry. Nice with pasta, would also be enjoyed with a white fish — 4 months ago
8.9 actually but I wanted to bring this one up a bit. Very pleasant and refreshing; very dry with delicious brightness. Not deep or rich but a great drink for a great price. — 9 months ago

One of my favorite CdP producers. I opened this alongside a buddy’s 2009 CSJ Deus Ex Machina and it was really intriguing to see the differences.
60 Grenache/20 Syrah/remainder a blend.
Quick bottle decant before diving in. While ready to go, an hour full-decant would probably be a good call at this stage, but not required. Where the Ex Machina was more high toned and layered (thanks to the blend), this was more up-front and plush. Violets and spiced berry compote aromatically. Dark berry fruit, sweet pipe tobacco and fig dominate the palate. Extremely concentrated (not extracted), with a savory graphite profile at the finish. Would have sworn Mourvèdre was heavy in this. Delicious. 93+ — 3 months ago
