Our monthly 4th Friday event at the storage facility. No requirements, just wine you want to share with others! Always an enjoyable time.
Special place in my heart for this winery. A few months ago, I had an '88 go celebrate my birth year. It was STELLAR. This is pushing forward easily...after an hour of air, the fruit and secondary earth and funk notes came out. So good! Thanks Walter! — 9 years ago

Drinkable AF. — 9 years ago
With a little air, this gets fragrant fast. A focused beam of dark, sappy cherry and a very clean note of stony minerality. In the mouth it's soft, balanced, and really clingy. Perfectly integrated acids. The color is about one shade darker than a rose. This is going fast. Might not have night 2 notes!
UPDATE: Two night later, nose is explosively sappy floral mossy. Deep flavors contrasting with a delicate texture and great acids. Upping to 9.4. Terrific, unique wine. — 10 years ago

I don’t want to, but this is a damn good wine - 1990 vintage — 9 years ago
Needs to air out some after opening. Typical bold barola — 9 years ago
Tasted blind. Tawny but still with a dark ruby core. Nose has diverse notes of dried cherries, brush, some soil and a little eucalyptus. Rich and has perfect balance in the mouth. With the last sip this wine had 9+ hours of air and it was still perfectly balanced. This started great and stayed on a plateau of greatness all night. — 9 years ago
Prototypical 06 burgundy. Good stuff. — 10 years ago
Much much better than the vintage might indicate- Stellar, and much better with air. — 10 years ago
This is super tasty El Dorado goodness...thanks for this @Chris Pittenger and @Sarah Mason Pittenger!!! — 11 years ago
Loved this...DEF needed more time to air out. Tart red fruit, smoky campfire, slight grilled meats, whole cluster stinkiness, med plus acid....long finish. Great stuff, mote time in decanter and this is a super star! La La! — 8 years ago
If a wine can be honest (& a farmers wine to boot), this is it. Even threw off a bit of sediment for such a youngin'. Much much better the 2nd day. Doesnt have the acidic snap that some of my fave Bourgueils do, but Im rootin for it — 9 years ago
When in Rome (as they say) 75% Cab Franc, 25% Merlot. This needs air or you'll think it uninspiring (was best the next day). Violets and slight French oak nose. Smooth, clean blue fruits with tannins up front fading at mid palate. Med/short finish. Solid wine. — 9 years ago
Needs time to open up. Huge wine. Finish keeps going. Confusing but delicious mix of sweet dark fruit, tar, and salty ocean air. — 10 years ago
A little less exciting than I expected. Definitely opens with with air, but I did not experience the dense tastes some have described. Well balanced with soft tannins, but not much nose or finish. Maybe the 2001 is past its prime. — 11 years ago
APPEARANCE Clear Medium Ruby color. NOSE Clean Light aromas of Red berry fruit mélange, tea leaf, with air more notes of earth and spice.. PALATE Dry sweetness, Medium acid and Low tannin with Light body and flavours of spice that lessen on the palate while the tea flavors are more pronounced, however the red berry fruits are the most present of the flavors with a streak of minerality. which last for Medium length on the finish. Very Good quality. #beaujolais #morgon #lapierre — 12 years ago

Nice golden hue, looks heavy and rich in the glass. Honeyed fragrant nose. Notes of sweet apricot, mango, lemon, white clay, tan spice, and stones. Nice intensity in the mouth, with gobs of fruit matched against acidity that built over the afternoon. Telltale aged Raveneau honey, exotic today but not over the top. I brought this and it was the best of the couple or so bottles of it that I've had. Was at its best with ~5 hours of air, and leftover was still singing the next morning. — 7 years ago
