Very young so decanted 5 hours before serving. A very expressive nose of dark and red fruits, cassis, cherries and strawberries, kirsch, white pepper, thyme and some floral scents. The palate is forward despite the youth of the wine, medium bodied plus, gorgeous fruit and decent length of the delicious gripping finale. 92-93
Très jeune donc carafé 5 heures avant de le boire, dégusté avec le délicieux et copieux menu hivernal de la Cabane d’à côté, commandé et livré à la maison via la boutique en ligne du Pied de Cochon. Un nez très aromatique, une explosion de fruits, cerises, fraises, kirsch, du poivre blanc, du thym, une touche florale. This is a very aromatic Left Bank Bordeaux, with a great fruity nose and great complexity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, dark chocolates, vinaigrette, coffee, black pepper and spices.
Drinking nicely now and will be better in 5 years.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries, with a soft and elegant mouthfeel.
This 9 year old has good aging potential of another 15 to 20 years.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show all that complexity.
I paired it with Brie cheese and Italian meats.

Un nez assez peu expressif car le vin était trop froid au départ mais le nez s’ouvre un peu en réchauffant avec des notes de fruits blancs, de poires, de menthe.. La bouche est magnifique, une belle classe, une bouche toute en finesse et élégance tout en ayant une belle tension sans être tranchante, un vin avec un équilibre exemplaire et sans aucun excès et une finale délicieuse de belle longueur. 92-93.
A moderately expressive nose in the beginning as the wine was too cold but then opens up more with white orchard fruit, pears, some floral scents and a touch of mint. Inky in color with a short purple rim.
Showing black fruits with cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, coke, chocolates, dark coffee, leather, spices and peppercorn.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice balance and mouthfeel.
This is a delicious Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Complex and opulent, and might be too much for some.
Dark, rich and handsome. Very tasty now, although still young. Will be nice to revisit it in 10 years.

This is a very tasty and spicy Napa Cabernet. Big and bold with a great mouthfeel and nice complexity.
Needs time to open up properly.

Massive strawberry on the nose of this thing so far...
Acidity and tannins are medium plus, very strong structure for 13.5. Well worth the investment.

Le nez prend un peu de temps à se placer, nez assez classique de rive-gauche par la suite, ne montre aucune fatigue, superbe texture, une finale longue et savoureuse, très beau. 92-93
The nose needs some air, the cork was wet with some aromas of wet cardboard at first but things got for the better after with no apparent defect and a classic left bank nose. Gorgeous balanced Cos, not the most powerful at this point but gracious, showing no fatigue also with a long delicious finish.

RP 95 and WE 93 This is good. It has a great nose, it’s well balanced, and has good structure, may be a bit simple, but sometimes I love that. There’s a purity of fruit that I like as well. I just don’t love the profile. I wanted to, but there is an earthiness / mushroom that was out of place IMO. Both on the nose and palate. Great deal on this right now and I was going to pick up volume (I’m stocking up on ‘16’s, think it’s gonna pay off big) just not on this one. Please give me a hollar if you have this and think it’s great. — 5 years ago
This is probably my favourite Sangiovese for the money so thought I’d take one for the community & try the new 2015 @ £65 so you know if you should buy 😉 The 07 is stunning now & this 15 is drinking well but should be just as fab but is lighter at present 😉 We drank 3 bottles over the weekend 😊 Oakier than others I’ve had but not dominating 😉
