2016 Upchurch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon- The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon by superstar winemaker Chris Upchurch is a revelation. On the nose this takes on gorgeous Cabernet character with red bell pepper, anise, brandy soaked red cherry and milk chocolate aromas that build in the glass. The texture to this wine borders ethereal. Mocha, crushed mint, blackberry cobbler and creme de cassis flavors all beautifully dance on the palate. The balance and richness is sumptuous here. Mineral-driven and rich, this gorgeous effort will cellar well for the next fifteen to twenty years. Drink 2019-2037- 95 — 5 years ago
Chris Ringland 's wines are balanced and complex. I'd put them against any old world Syrah. — 7 years ago
Lovely dinner wine. Smooth, bright with subtle tobacco notes to finish. Paired well with grillwd steak and the tang of feta in a Greek salad. — 7 years ago
This is a partnership with Adrian Hoffman. This wine creates a body glow like I've not experienced. The mouth entry just is an OMG long moment. The lush fruits explode and layer over your palate. Ripe, lush, fruits of; blueberries, turning dark cassis, black plum, blackberries, warm soft spices; Clove, nutmeg, cinnamon & hints of vanilla, light baking spices, black tea, plum cake, light tarry notes. Then, the lighter red fruits unfold as it sits on the palate. Perfect wine harmony!!! 4 years in oak. — 7 years ago
Drinking Broc on our first date since Jack's birth! A true celebration! Beautiful bouquet. Impressive structure for a Gamay. Love it @Chris Brockway ! — 8 years ago
@Eric LaMasters - Your recent posts on this wine spurred me onto checking in on the 2014. Fabulous! Power, purity, concentration, blue & black fruit, tannins already integrated; real pleasure to enjoy. Chris Maybach & TRB excellence! Cheers 🍇🍷👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 — 5 years ago

Chris Browns favorite wine - was very full bodied - a little spicy - liked it a lot! — 7 years ago
The Hoffman was nearly the wine of the tasting. Warm fruits; of blue & blackberries slowly lift out of the glass with supple soft spices. It was a hard call to say, was it warm fruit pie or was it more like pudding? I'd say both. The spices in this wine lifted off your palate like warm sun on ground water creating rising steam. You cannot only sense it, you can see them as you sip it. Blackberries, blueberries, black plum, rhubarb, baked cranberries & strawberries follow, black licorice, used leather, dry stems, underbrush, crushed rocks, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, Christmas cake and used coffee grounds. Perfect harmony in body, texture. length, balance, acidity and finish. 5 years in oak. — 7 years ago

Nice enough, but expect more from a 100% Cab. Not near as complex as you'd expect. And Chris Gorman's collaborative efforts are usually my favorites here. 14.9 ABV. Nice enough, but nothing unique or multi layered about it. Too bad, higher expectations. — 7 years ago

Probably should have cellared for a few years, but we couldn't wait. All wine. Zero bullshit. Greatness @Chris Pittenger. — 8 years ago
