Bright crunchy fruits right out of the gates. Terrific tension and acidity. Excellent wine and blew away (and felt stylistically different) than a ‘14 we tried alongside it. — 6 years ago
A nice Beaujolais from a vintage that I don’t usually love compared to 2014/2016. Definitely better with an hour or so in a decanter to let the tannins integrate a bit more. Dark purple in the glass - darker than expected. Nice cherry aromas. Still could resolve a bit more on the finish but with a slight chill is nice. — 7 years ago
Not quite as good as I thought it would be but, still great. — 8 years ago
Hints of fruit and an earthy flavor. Good for a sunny afternoon. — 9 years ago

This is the Blanc. Beautiful texture and weight to complement the citrus/herbs flavor combo. De-fuckin-lish. — 11 years ago
Earth, sweet strawberry, floral, leather, clove, acid keeps it fresh tasting, light in texture. I would drink up — 12 years ago
Soy, white pepper, aircraft carrier of big plum jam and cranberry, a touch of heat on the finish, gentle allusions to leather, long way to go but good juice — 12 years ago
Layers of love. Raspberry, dark cherry, currant, mild notes of clove and leather. Nuances of strawberry, continue through the palate and the finish is silky and lengthly. — 13 years ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. Wow, what a beauty. Decanted for 2 hours, intensely aromatic, precise and energetic showing black raspberries, candied red cherries, flowers, hints of orange peel and packed with minerals. Finishes with exceptional length. The tannins are present and firm but the wine’s superb balance along with the combination of Fourrier’s style and the ripe vintage make it in a wonderful place now and with a certainty to improve with age. — 6 years ago
My new favorite! — 7 years ago
Can’t get stop going after ‘15 Burgundy. Here, from one of region’s elite and from the fabulous Combe aux Moines vineyard, deeply flavored and beautifully perfumed, ripe black cherries, red raspberry, exotic spices and damp earth. The texture is luxurious and supple and the finish is long and seductive. 🔥 — 7 years ago

Not as pepper-driven as previous vintage I’ve tasted but still enjoyable and highly quaffable. — 4 years ago

Great price point. Very light — 6 years ago
Beautiful expressions of red cherries, tart blueberries, red and violet florals and ample cinnamon and clove spice. — 7 years ago
Still youthful garnet color. Almost opaque. Fruit forward nose with notes of black cherry, rhubarb, brambly brush, moist earth and a little menthol. Fruit matches the acidity and delivers amazing balance. Another 96 that seems to have come around. A few years the acidity was too much to handle, but now it’s got a nice balance. — 8 years ago
Love his juice — 11 years ago
A delicious wine that should show even more in the next few years. With notes of kirsch and black currant, this soft, but complex wine is delicious. It has slight herbaceous undertones that round out the fruit forwardness. Probably one of the better Chat. Du Papes from this vintage. — 11 years ago
Total funk/garrigue on the nose, ripe strawberries, fennel seed, sweet cassis. Full bodied (for burg), screaming acidity, gorgeous mineral finish. — 13 years ago

Dark and brooding…. Bramble plummy fruit with iron and a spiciest. Great texture and purity salinity and dark cherry. Complex and detailed and very savory. Great stuff. A long life ahead still. — a year ago
