Deep Ruby red color, purple hues, with aromas of black fruits, herb, tobacco and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of plums and black currants with cacao and tobacco spice, on a well balanced frame. Fine tight tannins, long finish ending with fruit, earthy spice and cedar character. Another solid vintage of this consistently good Provence Rose’. This vintage’s blend is Grenache (50%), Cinsault (30%) and Syrah (20%). Light pink in color with some lavender highlights. Fruit forward aromas of strawberry, watermelon, red flowers and lemon zest. Same fruity flavors with additional notes of peach, orange, and minerals. Touch of white pepper on the tart finish. Crisp, refreshing and clean with a faint hint of sweetness. Nice balance of acidity and alcohol (12.5%). Thanks for sharing, Chris B! — 4 months ago

From magnum. Initially quite linear and more of an aperitif with bright citrus and apple notes with lovely acidity. After 90 minutes however, this became a much more gastronomic champagne with pineapple and powerful autolytic notes of toasted brioche and almonds. A nice Beaujolais from a vintage that I don’t usually love compared to 2014/2016. Definitely better with an hour or so in a decanter to let the tannins integrate a bit more. Dark purple in the glass - darker than expected. Nice cherry aromas. Still could resolve a bit more on the finish but with a slight chill is nice. — 6 years ago

Quite bright medium ruby , ruby pink rim . Quite elegant and reserved , some red cherry, violet , summer fruits , scorched earth , touch of spice . On the palate quite elegant also , summer fruits, blackberry , blackcurrant , red plum . Good balanced acidity , herbal touches on the medium length , saline tinged finish . Quite polished but still grippy tannins . This is showing well , especially with food , but has a relatively long future , from now and over the next 5-10 years. Wonderful aromatics and texture as usual for Fourrier. The 2018 vintage is a bit more closed than I expected. Pomegranate, cherries, hint of musk, white pepper on the nose. Great structure, salinity, energy and balance on the palate. Long finish. Grand cru quality stuff from Fourrier - punching above it’s weight. — 2 years ago
