Well I pulled the cork I did not like the nose at all seemed rather astringent. Think hot rubber tire meets petroleum. So off to a decanter for a breathe of fresh air. Seemed to do the trick after about 30 minutes. Hints of strawberries, hot soil and some oak showed up. Upon drinking it it had a sort of lingonberry meets raspberry but finished more towards the strawberry side of things. This is one that does get better sip by sip. Thought the acid was going to be higher but pleased it was not. I think this is one of those people are either like or hate. I fall on the like it side. — 6 years ago
Excellent, Chardonnay as it was meant to be. — 6 years ago
"Gamay/Malbec"
First of all, it's gamay/côt. Fabulous gamay burnt tire nose, bright smashed berry jolly ranchers melted into the backseat of said car w said tires. Drink chilled and in bright sunlight. — 8 years ago
Tar, asphalt, and new rubber tire on the nose, smooth tannins and floral aspect on the palate that lifts it. Tried for the first time after it had been open for 4 days, pretty good — 8 years ago
New car tire on the nose — 9 years ago
Medium body, medium acidity, high tannins. Slight taste of strawberry and cranberry, dusty and clay earth, and very spicy. This is for fans of dry earthy reds, but who want a lighter bodied red. — 5 years ago
I never tire of it — 5 years ago
100% Romorantin. Cour-Cheverny, Loire. When you tire of Rose Pop this!

Classic, quintessential and somehow affordable? Tire, rubber, petroleum, humming acidity and clean minerality. Citrus all the more apparent with air. — 8 years ago
Lagunitas crushed it with this Red. Before I got into IPAs, ambers were my thing. This one is off the charts good. If you are a big Fat Tire fan, you may not appreciate the higher IBUs and ABV. If you are someone who likes both IPAs and Ambers, you're going to friggin love this. Makes me teary eyed to think this is a limited release and yet Buttweiper continues to exist. — 9 years ago
Smokey, like a tire fire. Delicious — 5 years ago
I like this one! Nice and dry 👌 — 5 years ago
Nice amber beer. Nice and malty. Reminded me of Yuengling. — 6 years ago
Muddy truck tire. Baked blueberries and blackberries. Green peppercorn. Opaque almost black in the middle with a mm of dried blood red at the edge. Dirty. Huge. Full bodied. The densest 2011 I've had. low acid, really high alc (16.1%!). Extracted, astringent and tannic. A little Brett and a little VA. Note: I tasted with 5 other professionals and none of them came close to liking it. The in-your-face and rustic-ness gives the wine an unmistakable charm. — 7 years ago
Totally non commerical malbec. Old style. Tobacco, tannin, huge spice, raw tire mid palate. A bit young and austere and out of whack now. But fucking good — 8 years ago
#croatina #piedmontesewines Full body. Deep ruby red. Figs, raspberr, rubber tire. Low to mid tannins. Black pepper finish — 8 years ago
This was so incredible. Burnt popcorn and tobacco. Rubber tire like Alsace. Such an interesting and unmistakably distinct flavor profile. Can't wait to check this out in a few years. — 9 years ago

Tres beau sauternes! En demi bouteille...il a perdu le côté petrolé qui me fait pas tripper....et on a tout simplement un beau sucre. Tire d éponge, miel, abricot confit et belle texture sans sensation de lourdeur. Bravo!
