Great with spice! — 6 years ago
STUNNING! Wotn, one of the best syrahs that I have ever had! Instantly recognizable as a reynaud wine on the nose. Meat, garrigue, red plum, cherry, rosemary... all things great about southern rhone, but through the eyes of Syrah with more tannin and structure than a typical Grenache. This wine is at its apex! The only thing stopping it from a being a perfect wine in my eyes is that it is a bit slutty. — 7 years ago
A bit young. But very nice complex palate — 7 years ago
CVed 8/17/17. Comp with Cabot and Guigal Hermitage and Cote Rotie. Nose is definitely new world with lots of floral notes and hints of vanilla and some peppery notes. Balanced with firm body on palate and long finish with some heat. Almost sweet vs the Rhone wines. Different style. Good wine. Ranked it higher than Cabot. Again CVed 2/10/18 comp of Pax Donelan Syrah. Still yummy with nose more similar to French Reynaud. Opened 5/7/18. Not a good idea to poke twice! Nose now has sherry oxidative notes mixed with fruits. Palate however held together better though a bit of oxidation creeps in on finish. Still drinking well but not that fruit prominent style as before. Second warning on this week on careful use of CV! — 8 years ago
Smooth, makes you want to drink more. — 5 years ago
Wedged in between the monumental 2005 and 2007 this wine is more delicate but again a true Rayas. Perfect balance, strong kirsch tones and this endless perfume which comes with a sexy Rayas. Reynaud and Bonneau two opposite wines, both great, for me forget all the rest in red chateauneuf. What a joy and privilege to be allowed to drink this. — 7 years ago
Blinded in one whiff as 2013 juge. His wines are as easy to spot as a reynaud wine. That Syrah campfire aroma just screams and the structure is very 2013, though more enjoyable now than most other 2013 northern Rhônes. I am sad that these are already essentially unobtainable and will just become more difficult to get — 7 years ago
Nice dessert wine. Sauternes after a great dinner of grouper, saffron rice and summer salad, wonderful pairing. Carmel bouquet, with thick long lasting legs. Peach and rose petal notes. — 8 years ago

This is what French wine is all about - 2004 hand carried back from France; pouring into decanter, a reddish-brown golden caramel color sweet to the nose; after 20 mins it returned to a deep ruby red ; subtle, with hints of fruit - cherry, strawberry, cocoa dust and chalk - slight tannins - could go another 10 but delicious now. — 6 years ago
Garagiste selection. $12.98. Surprisingly pleasant. Nice tannins. Incredible value. — 7 years ago

One of the most memorable wines ever. First thing I noticed was the color, very pale garnet. Spice and wet dirt on the nose, very little fruit. The palate was amazing: rusted iron and sandalwood. Each sip was more and more compelling. A wine that you want to drink slowly and to savor. Only 1 bottle, unfortunately. — 4 years ago
