David Reynaud
Georges Reynaud Crozes Hermitage Syrah

Lovely, lean Crozes. Taut acid spine with olive and game and barely ripe blueberry. Refreshing, if not complex.

Dec 19th, 2015The nose is spice & earth, perhaps a bit rainy wet moss (intriguing ; try & opine). Big burst of slightly tart ( raspberries) which tones down to blueberries, with more air. Tannins are a bit tight, but that worked fairly well with amazing small plates (farm-to-table-esque) prepped right in front of me by young very friendly, energetic and well informed crew @ Montreal's solid Le Comptrois!! Very cool place reminiscent of Katy's crazy cool Curatè, in Asheville, NC!!! Digging this wine slightly out of my comfort zone..:)
Late entry - wine never really gets there:(, but the restaurant is good stuff!
