Fruity, light body for #stemiliongrandcru intense aromas — 10 months ago
One encounter with an ex-château bottle suggested that the 1966 Lynch-Bages is not to be overlooked. Deep in color, it has a tempting nose that unfolds gradually in the glass, graphite and cedar commingling with crushed stone and red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm entry, very cedary with touches of desiccated orange peel. It's a bit conservative on the finish, though that is a leitmotif of the 1966 vintage. Well-preserved bottles should still be giving pleasure. Tasted at the Lynch Bages vertical. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2023) — 2 years ago

What a nose. It pops. Big peach and apricot and that purest citrusy syrup dash of honey thing. Really singing. Slate in the background but beautiful and clean fruit. Floral and almost a nougat element as well. Stunning. Palate is at once opulent and also bone dry with razor sharp 2008 acidity and cleansing minerality and citrus on the finish which really is long and delineated. This is outrageous now. — 7 years ago
This really does have Chambolle character. See Lyle’s notes. Light in color, bright, some tea notes but for the most part beautiful fruit, touch cherry, raspberry, citrus… and very soft tannins - days later under my Argon line- faint prune plum. Wouldn’t age this - it is perfect now! — 7 months ago

Fresh. 🍏 🍋❤️ Oxidized; but this is why I love it. #oxidationbeatsvaandmouseanyday — 7 years ago
Basic label. Smells like cherry coke and wood oil. Flavors are complex and chewy. Cherry cola in flavors. Licorice too. Age-d. — 6 months ago

Dark Ruby red color with dark berry fruit, herbs and spice aromas, blended with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate flavors of plum, cherry and dried herbs with leather, cacao and espresso notes. Fine tannins, medium+ finish spicy ending, good now. — 8 months ago
Well structured and balanced wine; great density and silky tannins. Blackberry, black cherry, cedar and clove meet on the palette. Great find! — 5 years ago
