Silky, smooth Bordeaux … Love it — 9 months ago
Nice balance, good berries up front and pepper and a little leather. I felt it could have a little more depth. Ugo liked it more than me. Aged well. Nice treat. — 2 years ago
@ dinner in Edwards CO - nice blend - like it don’t love it — 4 months ago
A deep dark purple. Very plumy maybe a little truffle. Smells very good on the nose, 13% alcohol but I don’t feel the normal tingly water slide. The finish is the most exotic I’ve had yet. A savory sensation, almost like I just had pork belly. There’s a dry finish bu the savoriness almost covers it up and makes my mouth water afterwards. The dry sensation is there but only for a bit. Then the flavor just rest on the tongue. The perfect blend of fruity and savory — 7 months ago
Smells tight right out of the bottle through an aerator (as you’d expect). Tastes very good! But, anonymous. It tastes like very good high quality wine. — 3 years ago

2020 vintage. 75% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. Owned by the Despagne family since 1812, and the current 7th generation (François Despagne) seems to be serious about quality. This 2020 displays impressive aromatics, concentration, depth, and precision, with fresh acidity balancing the 15% abv. — 10 days ago
