Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2013 pours a deep, slightly hazy ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of strawberry, raspberry, dried roses, sous bois, licorice, dried green herbs, gentle warm spices and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and full of rustic character. In general, the 2013 vintage in Burgundy is on fire right now. And as far as Domaine de l’Arlot is concerned, I adore these wines and wish I could drink them more often. 50% Cab Sauvignon 35% Merlot some Cab Franc and PV
Well integrated tannins, nice rich berry nose and great balance fruit and acidity on the palate. At eight years has still time to mature more but showing it’s there for the long run.

Strawberries, black cherries, dark chocolate and truffles. Very powerful. Apparently it is aged in 100% new oak, which is often not the best idea,but in this one it's perfectly integrated. Very long finish. — 4 months ago
