Funky. Earthy, light fruits — 3 months ago
So good! Slightly effervescent, slightly perfumy, citrus. Hazy and wonderful. — 5 months ago
2010 vintage is fabulous. Still some fruit with a lasting back of mouth. — 6 months ago
On a hot almost-summer night this wine hits the spot! ☀️
It’s a Sauvignon Blanc from the Valle de Casablanca D.O. in Chile 🇨🇱 where the vines from which it hails receive cooling influences from the Pacific Ocean breezes, lending balance and preserving acidity. 🌊
It’s no wonder this wine is labeled EQ as in Equilibrio (the Spanish word for balance), because it offers a wonderful balance of ripe tropical fruit aromas and flavors with vibrant acidity and notable minerality. 🍍 🥭
The aromas and flavors are fresh, albeit ripe, generally tropical with passion fruit, guava, mango, underripe pineapple, also green apple, gooseberry, freshly cut grass, and wet slate.
It’s a perfect patio pairing and fun to explore the beauty of new world Sauvignon Blanc from this region.
It’s also a great value at $12.99. 👏👏👏👏👏
Matetic Vineyards, E.Q., Coastal Sauvignon Blanc, D.O. Valle de Casablanca, Viñedo Valle Hermoso, Chile. Vintage 2019. ABV 13.5%.

Medium ruby , garnet , with a bricking terracotta rim . More mature than the Clos Apalta , leather , cedar , dried spices, sous bois , musk. On the palate more rounded , sweet cassis , blackberry , roasted red pepper , sous bois and leather. Noticeable slightly drying tannins , good balanced acidity . Pretty good length with a coffee tinged, just slightly drying grafite finish . Mature but will drink well over the next 5 years or so . — 2 months ago

Raspberry aroma, blackberry and cherry taste. Really smooth aftertaste, coats well. Tannins were noticeable, but not at all overpowering — 2 months ago
Blackcurrant and blackberry smell and taste, very airy and not that dry — 2 months ago
One of the better “cheap” wines. Goes down smooth. Fruity, oaky aftertaste. I would put this one up against a pricier wine at any fine steakhouse. — 4 months ago
This was really nice even though it’s oaked — 5 months ago
More full bodied than anticipated, but in the best way. Absolutely fantastic with a good steak. — 9 months ago
Light and dry but funky, almost yeasty tannins mixed with berries. Distinct old vine Chilean varietals that I would like to see more of. — 2 years ago
Wow! Deep purple color, full bodied, explosion of flavors. One of the best I have tried from Chile. — 5 years ago
cat perry
Young and silky fruit balanced by a subtle, wise umami bready hit.
Effervescence meets earth. Fun and well-formed, but also shifting with time. A wine for those who've long since run out of love for "fresh" boring berries and oak blasts, that are actually ploughed with additives. This natural one has an opinion about life and is the more beautiful for it.
Can't wait to see what it ages into tomorrow as well, if the 1L bottle lasts that long. — 2 months ago
