I used an Ah-So which ended up being merely a precaution since the top of the cork looked a bit dry. Turns out it was fine. Acidity was stunning at 15 years, some dried fruit on top of cherry compote with ethereal traces of tannins at the end. Delicious SRH Pinot Noir. Miles Raymond would definitely approve! 😉 — a year ago
Bright ruby red color. Bountiful aromas of red berries and dried violets. Pallet is full of strawberry and raspberry fruit with hints of black tea, baking spices, earth and pepper spice. Just a bit of a “gamey” quality as well. Nice hint of oak on the clean finish. Fine tannins and bright acidity. Creamy texture. Rich and nicely rounded. Absolutely a “California-Style” Pinot Noir. Nice choice, Mark Smith. — 3 years ago

nose: pineapple, toasted almond, lemon curd. soft bubbles, bright orange — 10 months ago
Slight oak on the palate with soft spices and a dark fruit profile. The wine is medium to firm bodIed, has a nice energy, depth yet precision, and the fruit is delicious, there is a slight warmth on the fairly long finish though for me, only little tiny negative point. Worth many Burgundy Villages appellations. 90-91
90-91 — 5 years ago
Starting to find that good California pinots are better after a few years or a few days after opening or both. — 7 years ago
Light nose and light body. Nothing special but fine for a fish dinner. — 7 months ago
Really fine juice. Gorgeous, unmistakable Pinot aromatics. Creamy strawberry, wild cherries and raspberries. Wet leaves and forest decay. Palate is smooth, silky, and creamy in character with oak in the right place. Polished. Called Sonoma Pinot blind. Hella’ tasty. — 9 months ago
As good a Pinot - 2009. - that I have had. Seamless. Tannins and fruits in near perfect harmony. Initial taste - amazing. AND it finishes just as good. — 4 years ago

Medium ruby (darker and more opaque than expected) color. Aromas of dark cherry/berry fruit, dried herbs, lavender and tobacco. Black cherry fruit leads the palate along with notes of dark chocolate, cranberry, pomegranate, baking spices, plums, herbs and black pepper, Long and linear finish. Supple tannins. Solid QPR. — 7 months ago
