Cave De Turckheim

Domaine Zind Humbrecht

Turckheim Gewürztraminer 2015

Spicy aromas and flavors, lychee, lovely aged Gewurztraminer, this is a good bottle (prior bottle from last week was a dump, clearly dead), medium-long finish, good Gewurz!! — a month ago

Cave de Lugny

Les Charmes Mâcon-Lugny Chardonnay 2021

Proper cellaring and service temp do not do this wine any justice. It’s crisp and acidic, with citrus and stone fruit and ever so slight hints of oak. Cheers. — 3 months ago

Pretty PNP, gratuitous and flashy. For the price tho? Not like it's preventing the car/mortgage/kids private school payment. < $20. Microwave wine.

Great for btg!

Domaine Zind Humbrecht

Brand (Turckheim) Grand Cru Riesling 2005

Really a wonderful old Riesling. Last had 2 years ago and I think this is our last bottle. The color in the glass is amazing. The palate matches - so deep and rich but still with balance. Was probably overall better 2 years ago as more of the acid was still there but this is still excellent. — 2 months ago

Domaine Zind Humbrecht

Herrenweg de Turckheim Riesling 2012

Compact, nice density to it, has some very lovely yellow and golden fruit showing. Acid is lively, a more stony feeling to the minerality. Aging nicely. — 4 months ago

La Cave du Vin Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle

Valée d'Aosta Prié Blanc 2020

I’m not sure where my previous note went.
Just when you thought you knew Italy, up pops this might as well be SwissFrench alpine darling from the Vallée D’Aoste.
Blanc de Morgex et de la salle. The town/village of Morgex lies just below Mt. Blanc. The Prié Blanc vines thrive in soil that has not known phylloxera.
Stones, herbs, and lemons all wrapped up in a rather electric pkg. I think drink young. Cold, the nose doesn’t have much to say past stone fruit, maybe rainier cherries.,But the palate is pow! Lemons, herbs, mineral, high acid and refreshing. With fried Branzino, perfect!
Always a sucker for high altitude Italian.

Most of the notes for this wine are under “Ermes Pavese”. It would be great if Delectable could consolidate duplicate (or more) entries.
