Castello della Sala Cervaro della Sala Umbria Chardonnay Grechetto 2022

Well done….for wood lovers! A good wine, but the taste of a bit too much barrique express the goal to make a international wine ( mainly America) not one who express the terroir of Umbria. — 3 months ago

You’ve got to be kidding me. A 2007 Salvo Foti wine. A museum piece. Wonderful Etna Rosso minerals, herbs, deep red fruit. Thank you Alex, for finding and gifting it. — 4 months ago

Il Brigante Red Blend

Tastes like the wines I had in Tuscany. Bought it at the winery. Had a wine tasting there with all their wines. Well worth the trip. Beautiful castle. 2017 vintage. — 6 months ago

Monteleccio Toscana IGT Sangiovese 2020

Time! Must give this wine time! It is so tight straight from the bottle that judging it then is unfair. After hours it opens into a beautiful Sangiovese: cherry, tobacco, and violets. — 7 months ago

Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2021

Medium Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and earthy spice, organically grown fruit. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum with tobacco, floral and earthy flowery notes. Full-bodied, well balanced drying tannins on a smooth medium+ finish. Grab some Italian food and enjoy the great value wine. Sustainable. — 3 months ago

This is an excellent red that punches well above its weight. One note, but very enjoyable. Full bodied, sour cherries, with a satisfying tangy finish. Wonderful chilled. — 3 months ago

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2021

Paid €45 for the bottle at Osteria Del Pavone. Marco was the wine captain and his recommendation was excellent! It was a delightful Chianti - rich and full! we would get it again. Price was reasonable for a Restaurant. — 4 months ago

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2020

Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas and flavors of red and black cherry, red and purple flowers, orange zest, savory herbs, pepper spice and ash. Very chewy tannins and quite hefty for a Chianti. Medium bodied. Could stand some additional bottle age. Thanks for sharing, James W. — 5 months ago

Castello di Bolgheri

Bolgheri Superiore SuperTuscan Blend 2021

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing plums, black cherries, currants, chocolates, light oak, spices, coffee, licorice, light vanilla, peppercorn, tobacco leaf and light earth.

Medium plus in length on the finish, with grippy tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Bolgheri. Spicy and interesting. Nicely balanced and elegant.

Very tasty and already enjoyable, although still young. Needs 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels and then 6 months in Austrian oak.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$85.
