Plum cherry smoky silky. Having this reminds me of that last bit of prime steak you savored up in its own sauce. — 6 years ago
Super well balanced smoke to peat. Smooth. Easy drinking. Wonderful flavor. We really enjoyed this whisky very much! — 6 years ago
Great, slightly sweet taste! A notch less than Johnny Walker Black Label! Had it with ice & a little bit of water! — 7 years ago

Nicely rounded with smaller cask. Maybe sherry or orloroso. Big peat per usual. — 5 years ago

A Great night to say the least:
Magnum of Gargiulo money ranch road,
2000 Bryant, 25 year Macalllan. Totally forgot to post this pick from a few weeks back!
The Bryant drank as good as any French Bordeaux that I’ve ever had. The money ranch toad was mediocre in comparison and the 25 year Macallan was 2nd only to the amazing company we had in our house that night!!
Great times to say the least!

Smooth and drinking well but curious to see what this is like in 25 years — 8 years ago
Stellar Cabernet from Inglenook!! very rich and balanced and much life left. Quite young but not overly tannic. Continued to evolve for more than an hour. Ripe but not alcoholic. A pleasure to share with friends and a fine meal. — 5 years ago
One of our favorites to drink during our Friday night dungeons and dragons campaigns. Pairs well with both Orcs and Elves which is surprising. — 6 years ago

I was pretty nervous about this #napavalley 1981 #cabernetsauvignon being able to go the distance. First of several 1981 bottles for my lovely wife’s 40th birthday. I’m an Ah So rookie so still managed to break the cork and drown the bottom half in the bottle. After an easy pour through a tea strainer into a decanter, let it sit for a while. Now past an hour it’s really opened up - no doubt it’s on a gentle glide slope decline but so many layers of tertiary aromas. Raisin notes, Medjool dates, maple syrup, some charcuterie notes on the nose. Not much primary fruit left at all - a bit oxidized on the palate but still robust acidity, leather, sanded-down tannins on a rapid finish. — 4 years ago
